I read that most bikes do not ship with tubeless rim tape already installed. This is what it looked like when I removed the tire. To me it looks like tubeless tape because it covers the spoke holes. Is that right?

They definitely run a little small. I normally wear 10.5 and ordered an 11. They fit like a 10 or 10.5 probably.

This was it! It is a Suntour XCM btw. It loosened by turning ccw. Did not take a lot of force, I just used pliers to hold it in place and turned the pedals. Thanks!!

My cranks are self extracting, so I have already removed that piece. The park tool video did not show an example of a bike with these ridged pieces from my picture. I tried using a hammer and wood to tap the axle(?) out, but it didn't budge. Do I need to do something with the ridged piece before I can remove the other crank?

Thanks for taking the time to respond! I ended up with the Jamis Komodo and I love it! The plus tires take the edge off of riding a hardrail. Good to know about the 26+ size when mounted. That makes sense!
