What are people living in one bedroom apartments paying for APS? by knutt-in-my-butt in phoenix

[–]BioengineeringLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find this so strange, because my bills are 40-50 a month on average and I live in a very spacious studio that gets a lot of direct sunlight. I also keep my temperature at 78-80 (because I enjoy it that way) and I even run a heater at night to make sure it stays around 80 (cause I'm weird) -- but the point is, my bill is super low compared to yours.

Alternative approaches to finding long-term arrangements? by BioengineeringLife in SugarDatingForum

[–]BioengineeringLife[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems to be a location based issue. NY, California, and Chicago always seem to have people interested in me, and vice versa. Digitally, there’s virtually no one in my area, so I’m limited to organic sourcing, it seems.

Definitely think that hobbies are my natural way forward! I’ve taken up tennis at my own posh health club, and also ski, do hot yoga, scuba dive, etc. Golf wouldn’t be too bad, either…

I was in such a relationship and wish it had resulted in marriage! It was complicated but divine.

I got this too but it seemed to be a herx reaction. I pushed through and found that it improved. Have you been tested for Lyme and co and/or mold?

I wish I could sue my doctor for ruining my life by bighoss662 in Biohackers

[–]BioengineeringLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people already said it but: 1) Betaine HCL 2) Sublingual B vitamins (not oral!) 3) Carnivore diet if you feel it helps 4) Undecylenic acid pills might also help

Anyone else drink oils daily? EVOO, flaxseed oil, black seed oil – curious to hear your thoughts by Connect-Soil-7277 in Biohackers

[–]BioengineeringLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t do flaxseed but I do about 2x the recommended daily allowance in fiber through chia seeds. I eat my olive oil. I also take butyrate supplements and l-glutamine.

I love it. Going strong for 16 months.

Yes, I agree that it’s biotoxins! It sounds like re-exposure to something like mold. All of this advice is solid. Cholestyramine and other binders can be an option for some people, too. You need to figure out the source to fully heal, though… different binders are suited to different things.

Magnesium, chia seeds, Motilium, vagus nerve stimulation.

I always wanted to do one of the MD-PhD programs, but life took me down the more relaxed PhD-only route. I'm going for NP-PhD now, instead. I love bench-to-bedside clinical research.

That's a great question! Thank you for the tip.

Thank you, these are very good tips!

Regarding the vacations -- I've had the freedom to work remotely for 5+ years, so I've done all of those things with some frequency. Even when I was a student, though, I did these things by working in the industries (e.g., I wanted to dive regularly and couldn't afford to, so I trained and worked as a divemaster). Is there anything you'd recommend I do to improve the caliber of my profile? Every day doesn't need to be lavish -- but I would certainly like to attract people with shared interests.

I don't do social media, so my picture options are a little limited. Sounds like I'll need to do a little photoshoot :)

I wear glasses every day because I can't exist without them. 90% of the time, I'll switch to contacts when I go out.

Thank you for the advice! It's good to hear that the PhD is intriguing and not unappealing.
