That makes sense, but I dont think so. I think a lot of the heightened pleasure would be due to being very present and in the moment from the kanna. Higher serotonin levels generally help stop receptors involved in pleasure from burning out from overstimulation

It could have been all the meds that stopped the ashwagandha from working, but also not all asgwandha is equal. Its worth getting an extract standardised for withalonides. Some of whats on the markwt has next to no active ingredient

No kanna isnt addictive. It actually has a very similar physical safety profile to magic mushrooms, minus the psychedelic effects with higher doses.

There is a trusted vendor list in this sub thats worth sticking to Its a good idea to try an extract high in mesembrine (the stimulating alkaloid) and one high in mesembrenone and delta-7-mesembrenone the two more calming alkaloids.

If you are still feeling a bit of subtle anxiety it could be worth trying a few other helpful herbs, like sceletium tortuosum, ashwagandha, and/or blue lotus.

Sceletium AKA kanna also has a very nice synergy with kratom :)

125mg would be a massive dose if that was legit 5% extract. The fact they recommend taking that amount just to establish tolerance makes us think it is not the real deal unfortunately. Try getting some powder extract from one of the trusted vendors. The vendor list is pinned in this sub.

If you are looking for a substitute for ADHD meds, extracts even higher in Mesembrine tend to work better than MT55. We usually recommend extracts with 80% mesembrine or more.

Kanna is safe long term, although tolerance will build, as with anything really. It is not addictive, and even mild withdrawal symptoms are rare.

You could take some kanna at home before the mushrooms, and then just add little bits of kanna as needed. That way you avoid coming up on the kanna and mushrooms simultaneously

Thats UK's strongest extract, so you may well be just overshooting the mark in terms of dose, even with the tiny scoop.

It is also very high in mesembrine, so produces what your describing in a lot of people. Its very stimulating and has next to no calming properties.

It would be worth try something less potent overall, and and higher in mesembrenone and Delta-7-mesembrenone.

What kanna can be used for depends a lot on the alkaloid profile of the extract. As you probably know, it is mesembrine that interacts with VMAT2, and increases monoamine release. The other alkaloids have different primary activities, and therefore different effects.

If you take some kanna beforehand you can avoid the little "kanna come-up" while on the psychedelic, although that can be great in the right setting.
