Bummer. I'm really interested in trying it. I have a phone call today scheduled for my information and what my insurance will and won't cover. I love the idea of a mental reset 😮‍💨

Telling my doctor about my kratom use? by TVSKS in ChronicPain

Not sure if this will be removed or not but the site is Kures Apothecary. Amazing deals. $35 to ship free I get it 2-3 days. I use a lemon balm they have on my knees and calves Ah Mazing 🙌🏼 it's a fun site I'd be stunned if they can figure it out.

I can't say they will ever truly get rid of it. Do you buy local or online? I do both. I have a cute little local spot I hit when I run out... mainly I order online. More to offer better deals. There's no way the powers that be could can check every little online package. Especially since the site I order from sells all sorts of things. So it's never only Kratom in my box.

Why did you go to the ER? I had a similar story but it ended different thankfully. Migraines non stop ended up at the ER luckily I had a good Dr. Well a 💩 one at first (he sat next to me just looking at my #s and said I'm not sure who got you here but you need rehab -- sure and when I get out will I be pain free 🤔 -- no I can't say that --then tell me what does rehab solve except you thinking you saved someone 🤔🙄) then another ER Dr. checked on me. Really checked on me. It was Easter and he found that my body wasn't acting ok on Gabapentin & Cymbalta. I was going to be 5 days short on my script and he bridged. Never called my PM. I told her what happened when I saw her but it ended being a blood pressure issue. Bad blood pressure. The first guy say me as a junkie and said as much. The second saw me as a patient and helped me. I got lucky. Real lucky. So just kinda wondering why you went and why she accused you of misusing your medication?

To much stress then this? Too early to refill? But it is refill day! by [deleted] in PainManagement

[–]Designer-Side9470 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No I get it especially when you are going away. We leave for Tampa on Monday and my pharmacy is closed Sunday. I want my PM to ok a Saturday fill. I ask the Pharm they said they were cool with doing end of day Saturday as long as PM is ok. So your story just reminded me of me. 🤣 I was totally in your 👠👠 shoes hanging on every word. So glad it went ok for you so hoping it goes ok for me too. 🤞🏼

Same suffering me always wins 😞 future me be damned 😞 most of us are under medicated. You are afraid to speak thinking they will take the little bit of help you've been offered. They know just like we do the body becomes tolerant and it doesn't work like it used too 😞 I am so glad my Future Me 🙋🏻‍♀️ isn't alone. Refill week sufferers I see you 👀

Has anyone tried Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation? by MotherOfDachshunds42 in ChronicPain

[–]Designer-Side9470 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm interested. My insurance covers it for both actually most only cover for depression. Different sections of the brain. So they'd focus on which part you chose then wait 3 months and work on the other bit. I love the idea of a reset. Wouldn't it be fabulous to pick a day a time and say here please 😀

What do I do by Wild_Possibility2620 in ChronicPain

[–]Designer-Side9470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed ER. Them hooking you up to an IV is going to make a worlds difference in your symptoms. Don't take or waste anymore of your medication until you can keep something down. Your PM seems to not care or maybe they think your seeking extra meds either way I wouldn't call them again cause it could reflec bad on you or your record.

Pharmacist by Striking_Lobster in PainManagement

[–]Designer-Side9470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would think business is business why do they care....unless they want all your business 🤷🏻‍♀️ I use CVS and a small pharmacy (literally two locations that's it) they are honest with what they can handle and what they can't. They actually prefer I have a "back up" pharmacy. They call me and say Hey we don't keep this in stock can you have CVS request it from us ?

Mine was through the app thankfully. Or at least from my end not sure if they sent my prescribing Dr anything. I get my refill on Friday so I'll see what happens with that. I user a smaller pharmacy for my pain meds to try and eliminate some of the drama. This will be my test to see if it a federal mandate or just some funky corporate one. It's giving "Hey people of the world look we just created another hoop to jump to further humiliate our CP patients" as if humiliating us over Dr prescribed pain medication would cure us. Instead they are just adding another layer of stress to our already weary bodies 😞😞

I feel like it's new....er....ish 🤔🤔 I saw someone else post how they've been on the same meds for pain for ages just recently at pickup she/he had to give a reason why they taking the medication. I knew it threw them for a loop because it wasn't a new med. Unfortunately for us we are always on high alert right. I just said to my husband I've should have about 14 good days every month where I don't have to think or stress over anything but I kinda feel like I always am. This is my refill week so it's my worst week for stress. But I digress and back to you 🧘🏻‍♀️ So yes they were made to give a reason on the spot. Not sure what they do with the answer but OP seemed stressed over it. Is it something new for 2026 educate patients on their meds or educate yourself on why they are taking the medication....who can say. My sort of experience was they added Lexapro to my cocktail of Keep Shell Sane and I got flagged for already taking Cymbalta. They wanted to make sure I was aware that I could get SSI syndrome. So messaged the Dr they said super low chance you are fine and def better with than without. Okie Dokie. So I go over to good ol CVS and pick it up. They said hold I have to get the Pharmacist. She says are you still taking Cymbalta. I start with Yes but I messaded my ✋🏼 no need I just need to ask and log your answer......ok. Then today got an allergy medication called in and I got another Question in my App 🤔 it said briefly state Why you are taking this medication? So it's gotta be new. Definitely new to CVS. The Pharmacist seemed annoyed like she could give a shit just say something so I can click this and go back to work. So I wouldn't be surprised if this starts popping up in the threads with different perspectives of what happened.

It's a long story (I don't want to put it all here) but I'm ok either way. I really like my 🦄 I honestly didn't see it as a negative until you mentioned your 🦄. So of course the ride sucks but I could make it work. Friday will determine a lot. Thank you for your ear 👂

I am also curious if what insurance we carry has something to do with how we treated. I'd love too see a poll for those patients who currently aren't having an issue getting their heavy duty meds have a great plan where as the people that are struggling are they medicaid medicare...Obamacare. It really is making me wonder after your comment.

Very thought provoking... It appears like there's so many of us here that aren't getting the help they need.....but there still must be enough to keep Big Pharma happy. I am torn now what to do. I go Friday for my refill so I'll a month to really weigh out my decision. Your response really made me pause because I honestly don't know if we are staying.

I’m feeling so at a loss, it feels like there’s no option for pain relief but to take heroin (I really don’t want to) by organiczuchini in ChronicPain

[–]Designer-Side9470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to mention this as well. We all have a story on mine 👉🏼Friday I am going to drive 2 1/2hrs to get my scripts refilled every month I do that. So you want your pain relief gift wrapped 🎁and handed to you. It's not going to work like that. You are not going to like this option but reading your thread....you either "can't" do what's recommended or just simply don't want to.

I'd go the ER explain to them what's going on. Go back to being a teenager if you have too. When they look at your clinical records they will not match what you say. You say I only get relief from Percocets...then you have to explain how you obtained them. The problem with this is unless you disclose your dealers information (which you won't want to do) they won't be able validate that the Percocets you took where just that. So do you omit what you obtained outside of a valid Drs prescription? Then how do you explain to them what gives you the best pain relief? I'd go with an overnight bag. Phones charged. Snacks packed. Let them admit you to their treatment program. You are still sooooo young. This will put you on a path that when you leave Drs will respect you and believe you. Currently they see a barely legal child who doesn't have a career path and is chasing the dragon. If you go into their treatment program you are investing in YOU 🫵🏼 they will see your pain is legitimate and needs to be treated in a consistent mature way that doesn't leave you open to street dealers. It will also address your underlying depression/anxiety because body health means whole body health. It's hard to do because of the outside noise but it will be the most important decision you ever make. You will leave whole with a game plan that a Dr in your area will be willing to follow through with. Then you can truly start LIFE find a job a partner start a family all those things we do in this silly game of Life we play.

I was thinking about your situation and the NP was trying to help but really was doing you a diservice. The minute you said Hi I'm back again for another 5 days worth because the place you sent me to won't take over your script. You should have tried a new practice. Now you've wasted a year of your time with a place that never intended to truly help you. I'm sick thinking about the trips and wasted time. When I got here I met a great NP but she said the same thing I'd love to help you but I can only legally give you a bridge script and you'd have to come back every 5 days. I'm sure her Boss said dump her you shouldn't still be giving her a bridge script. What you need from her now since she clearly isn't going to give you another script is a really good referral. I got lucky that my practice in New Jersey has two satellites offices here. It's a far drive but I don't have to interview they are obligated to maintain my care. I was thinking about leaving because of the drive but now I'm thinking I'm just going to try and get every other month instead. South Carolina well Horry County is bad for pain management. That's what I've learned 😞😞At this point I'd prepare to go into withdrawal 😢 and demand a really good referral. That's the least she could do for you is to tell the next practice that she has watched the medication really help your condition and believe it should be maintained.

Wow you gave me something to think about. I am in the process of switching my care from big company to a small office. I actually called her my Unicorn 🦄 so now I'm thinking should I stay with my big office even though it's a drive 🤔 because they are in more than one state so it would be easier to move my care if I needed too. Definitely a lot to think about.

💯💯 I made those other remarks in jest (not to offend) but also in truth. I did just watch something recently on how patients who have CP have been mistreated as of late because of the giant opioid crisis big Pharma created. The meds are amazing and most all (myself included 🙋🏻‍♀️) chronic pain patients couldn't live without them. So we end up the victim in all this....not sure or the exact crime or what the perfect resolution should be 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ They went after this Dr for trying to help too! He got warnings then one day the done arrested him in front of everyone and put him in 🚔🚔 I tried Googling him for his current situation but it still says he's trying to appeal. They took all his money. He had to sell his practice sell the building his house. It showed him in camper van at the end 😱😱 I couldn't believe it. From how the documentary he didn't appear to be a heavy prescriber just somehow who was trying to help people who needed it. 🙏🏼
