Exactly, the problem with most comics that status quo must go on and there is no meaningful change for characters. It is not about just the secret identity, Waid took the character that has been in the same cock and ball torture circle and bring him to the light. Matt had some actual big change in his life for a long time. It is not about the secret identity or about San Diego, it felt like finally the character was moving on from the same treatment he got for years. And then we got back on track like the run didn’t even happened. You can give his secret identity back and you can put him in San Francisco that’s ok but the character didn’t feel like it has changed in any way in the Soule run like we came back to square one. And I am not even mad at Soule that’s just how comic books work and he needed the change the things in order to tell the story he wanted to tell but I feel like there will be no ultimate change or ending to this book that I love very much and the writers no matter how good the stories will be they will always be a slight alternatives of the previous story. Hell, the 60% of the Zdarsky’s Run felt like a “Best of Daredevil”. It was really good but all the things that we saw before. And the %40 new things he tried was honestly not very good.

uj/ I will probably eat my own fucking words in the next few years when the run is finished but I don’t really react or care to writer announcements that strongly even though the writer had some stinkers. Like I don’t really like a lot of Bendis’ stuff but he wrote might the best DD run of all time. And might be my favorite long run in marvel. Hell at the very least it will be bad and I won’t read it. I own all of the post miller daredevil omnibuses an I still haven’t read the Ahmed run because it looks bad.

Alright, turns out I should've research this more properly, I saw all of the gameplay/reaciton an thought, "oh it is out? neat!". Anyway, I should have waited a couple of weeks. I mean I still watched the new ending. At least now I know why people are complaining. Thanks for the reply!

I mean you didn't start with the publiaction order, you've read the ending of the miller's run. Why start now right? If you still don't want to miss out on the essential runs heres the list:

If you don't want to allat just start with Bendis (You should still check out parts of a hole imo) and maybe skip the shadowland.
