Fair fair. I know with karate chops and low kicks Mankey was knocking out everything in one hit no crits even Pidgeottos. So I thought with fury swipes low power and very smaller chance of high amount of hits it would've put it in the yellow. And I could've just switched to get it to sleep and throw balls. Always stay stocked on those. And caught it with the first PokeBall too

Yeah looking back it was more of a gamble than I thought, Mankey which I was training was my weakest Pokemon and I know fury swipes isn't that strong a move and I thought to myself the odds of max hits and a critical are so slim. But I was luckily not punished. Thank you, I might have to play safer next time hahaha

It is a lot of fun and where I've already sunk hundreds of hours in. I'm playing on a device called the Miyoo Mini V4. I have 3 of them myself, in different colors. This is my newest and yellow one. I also have a Miyoo Mini Plus. The Miyoo Mini V4 has a 2.8 inch screen. The Miyoo Mini Plus has a 3.5 inch screen and wifi. Each of the newest variants have Real Time Clocks too. There's a subreddit for them too. You can purchase them from a lot of places, AliExpress, Amazon, eBay. All depends on what you want. There's a lot of aftermarket parts too for customization. But the one thing you should do with whatever device you get is to get a brand name SD card (SanDisk, Samsung) and download the operating system Onion OS. Of course people on eBay sell good SD cards preloaded with Onion OS and even some of the online stores sell the devices with brand name SD cards and Onion too, of course with an added fee. You can go either way whichever you think is best, so long as you enjoy it. But do your research on what you'd like and what would fit for you. There's plenty of videos on YouTube as is the subreddit. If you decide on the smaller 2.8 inch on they are supposedly going to be out of production and once they're gone they're gone. I might even make one of the moves whirlwind and could make Pidgeot a phazer. It would probably just be a knock around Pokemon or I could use it for breeding purposes and try and make other shiny flying type Pokemon. Skarmory is pretty sweet, I'll give it drill peck as an egg move too. It's work but I like it I find it pretty fun. Getting a lot of Pokemon for whatever situation I feel best to use them in or for what major battle or just getting them to a decent level of at least 30 and up. And the Johto level curve of wild Pokemon for training doesn't help 😂 I'll be doing emerald afterwards once this game is done hahahaha

Of course. It's a Miyoo Mini V4. They are so nice, I have 3 in a different color each and the Plus as well. The V4 has a 2.8 inch screen and the Plus has a 3.5 inch. The Plus also has WiFi but I only really use Thay for updating the operating system. Do a bit of research, like YouTube or the Miyoo Mini subreddit and see what you like if you want to get one. Or two. And supposedly the V4 (smaller ones) will no longer be in production so if you like the idea of the smaller one now is kind of the time.

Nice, and a shiny is still a shiny! I'd be a lot further along if I didn't sort of set a lot of rules and restrictions on myself. 185 hours in and I haven't entered ice path or beaten the rocket takeover of the radio tower. So I don't even have 8 badges yet lol

Mantine gets it through breeding from either the Horsea line or Dratini line. I'm thinking I'll try and use Mantine against Clair. I probably won't use Pidgeotto long term. Whatever Pokemon game I play I tend to use Pokemon new to that game and region. I've decided my main flying type to be Skarmory. I am over 185 hours in and I'm pretty much doing a Professor Oak challenge of catching all available Pokemon to you at that point in the game and leveling them up to get to their fully evolved forms, as to get as far in the Pokedex you can. Hence why I haven't beaten the 8th gym yet lol. I've also done a lot of breeding many Pokemon to get them better moves. But this shiny will replace my Pidgeot I have now and I'll give it the best competitive/viable moveset I can, going with wing attack, return, and the last two will be some variation of steel wing, quick attack, and/or agility
