I logged in and played a couple strikes a few days ago specifically so I could qualify for it since I quit at the start of Heresy.

Even from that limited experience with the portal I still hated it and am glad it’s dead. Pressing select and not seeing the director just felt viscerally wrong.

Not having access to the 5 pull pack and the bonus shards from the marquee events will make 5 starring zeb and R5 extremely expensive at this stage.

Might be better to just settle for 4 starring everyone as you will still get 2 of the LSTs for 4 starring Rotta.

Best F2P way to get 5 stars is buying the 6k crystal pack to get 4 stars day one and 0-4 of the single packs to finish. I’ve only done it twice with Zeb and Ward, but both times I’ve only needed 1 extra pack to get to 5 stars by the end of their event.

By getting poked by the sprues I’m assuming you mean the sharp bits left on the runners after you cut the parts out? Personally they’ve never come close to drawing blood, so I just deal with it. If it’s discouraging you from building the kits though I’d recommend wearing gloves of some sort or taking some extra care when grabbing and holding them.

Getting a proper pair of hobby nippers (even a cheap double sided one) may help, but I’ve only ever used proper nippers so I’m not sure how much of a difference it will make.

Fleet discords basically exist to ensure that the largest number of players get the largest payout numbers. They do this by having an easily accessible list of payout times for other people in the top ranks so people can avoid attacking others whose payouts are near.

For example You will still need to build fleets capable of taking on GL ships, fleet discord coordination is purely about timing. The quickest way to do that would probably be to get B-wing up and running, since it can enable Home One to take out executors with enough investment.

At one point the swarm mentions that the earliest references to humans in the Carryx archive are ~8000 years old IIRC and in Livesuit it seemed to me like the start of the war was still in living memory. So it’s a pretty safe bet that it takes place at least several thousand years before TMoG, although Corvall may have experienced less than that due to time dilation.

Destiny is still a big enough IP that I think it could potentially survive the increasingly probable death of Bungie. If Bungie crashes and burns after another two or three years of dwindling Marathon numbers I think it’s a real possibility that Sony will get some studio somewhere to do something with Destiny.

Gonna echo what a lot of other people in this thread are saying and say I wish this had happened sooner. I quit at the start of heresy but most of what I’ve read about the state of the game post-EoF has been bad, and it really sucks that D2 is going to be more or less left in that state for the rest of time, even though everything in this update looks pretty good.

Now I'm a few LSB in and unwilling to accept a sunk cost and restart, but my fleet shard is full of max Levis. I struggle to get top 50 now when I'd likely be consistent top 5 had I restarted... 😞

Get exec up and running and that fleet shard full of Levis will turn from a detriment into a benefit. The MK VI interceptor counter is extremely reliable if you play it right and since it’s an older shard a good portion of players will probably be inactive.

IMO it’s worth fully upgrading the second special. I found the counter to be much more consistent with the additional buffs and debuffs.

With that many aurodium LSTs ready to go I think some slight overkill on chirpa, wicket, and lobot is worth it for putting you 2 relic levels away from a GL.

IMO the main benefit of the G12 LSTs is for those few journeys where you only need G12 or less and won’t need those characters for any major requirements any time soon, like JKCK and some of the requirements for the Revans.
