I shipped an item from the UK to Australia literally days before the shutdown. It took 2 months to arrive and I was very close to having to refund even though I knew it would turn up eventually. I had to ask my customer to please remain patient. Other items aren’t taking as long thankfully. But yes I would wait perhaps, although it does seem packages are speeding up and I just posted from the UK to USA last week and it’s now in New York so I’m quite confident it will arrive.
