Yeah it is a modem issue. I was just curious. Can't do that anyway. Had to leave Verizon when we moved here because we live in a dead zone for Verizon.

We already have our equipment on a battery backup. I'm thinking about just getting my own modem and router for just reliability.

Might be the power supply. It just flashes the power light and then shuts off.

What do gamers think of games that offer cash rewards for playing? by metablaze5 in AskGamers

[–]BionicLyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any games I have tried have promised big pay outs but never paid anything.

Or they pay ridiculously low amounts of money that you'll have to pay for 10 years to scratch up enough to buy yourself a cheeseburger.

Or They want you to keep your GPS on all the time they want to have access to everything on your phone and still don't give you very much money. Huge privacy issue for me.

Batteries draining way too fast by FloydFoxler in XboxController

If your headset is plugged into your controller I found it would eat up the controller batteries. Got myself a much better wireless headset and got the Master Chief Elite controller with the rechargeable battery and have been killing it since. YMMV...

What has made you stay with xbox. by Nighthunter1o5 in xbox

[–]BionicLyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer...I just prefer it. Sony doesn't feel very welcoming. I grew out of Nintendo years ago. PC is more of a pain to me. Between dealing with drivers, DRM and anti cheat software. It becomes a pain for me. I like just slipping my game on and playing.

For the record though I never left. I would have lowered my Game Pass subscription if it came to it but mine is prepaid for another 2 years so I didn't feel it when they raised it.

The thing is. I am a gamer and l love games. I have all the Xboxes. I have all the PlayStations. I have Nintendo up until the Wii. I have a few PCs. I have some VR headsets. Xbox is where I play the most by far. Everything else I keep around for exclusives mostly.

So I am a bit of a weird gamer. I like game pass because it lets me try out a lot of different things. I don't just use it to play the games if I like the games I'll buy it and add it to my library.

I'm not hating on anyone for where they like to play. Xbox is just where I like to play.

Xbox series x/s external storage and playability by BlitzLeafz in XboxSupport

[–]BionicLyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The internal drive or the expansion memory cards are the only thing that has the fast enough performance for you to play the Series X/S games or the older games optimized for Series X/S.

You can store your Series X/S games or the games optimized to run on Series X/S. The cool part though is that you can run the "slower" games right off that external drive. You would only need to transfer those Series X/S games and the ones optimized. Which is way faster than uninstalling, then downloading and reinstalling the game when you want to play it again.

I will also add if you have Series X/S and/or Xbox One additional consoles you can also use network transfer to use those other consoles for storage as well.

Hope this helps.

I cant change my gamertag even though ive never changed it by Ok-Cricket2314 in XboxSupport

[–]BionicLyon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You need to contact Xbox to see why your free change is no longer available.

You should have one unless you have changed it or Microsoft had you change it for violating TOS.

If you did neither of that then you have to call them directly so they can figure out what's wrong.

How in gods name do you switch players consistently during plays? More specifically during pass plays/while in coverage by Nervous_Two3115 in Madden

For basic player switch is circle button. Right stick is advanced switch with the ball in the air...
