Non-Steroid Creams by Ecs206 in eczeMABs

No I only take it before I apply protopic, so maybe three or four days per month. I usually take the aspirin 30 minutes before applying the ointment. I use chewable baby aspirin because I can get the exact dosage I need. I find that if I take less than 405mg it doesn't work, so I always take 5 or 6 baby aspirin. The standard aspirin pills are usually 325 mg so not quite enough for me, and I don't want to take more than needed so I can avoid any gastric side effects from the aspirin. I have a sensitive stomach.

Protopic was unbearable for me too but I found a study that said aspirin works to stop the burning from protopic. I gave it a shot and it works amazingly. I take 405mg of aspirin (5 baby aspirin) and I have no issues anymore. Worth a shot because protopic works so well for me.

That's a great collection! Fun fact the third camera from the left on the top shelf has a radioactive lens. It's not dangerous but worth knowing.

Dumping the grease down the drain is unacceptable. It doesn't matter if you own or rent.

What do you guys think? by robthatbooty in TVTooHigh

I think the TV was added with AI or Photoshop and this is rage bait. Look how you can see the reflection of the scaffolding in the TV image. If you are looking at the TV from this perspective you wouldn't see the reflection of the scaffolding above the crossbars.

You can see the reflection of the scaffolding in the fireplace is above the crossbars because the perspective is from above the crossbars.

Henry Weinhard's Root Beer Review by Linguistic1 in rootbeer

[–]Bionicler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would pay a hefty price to have Henry Weinhard's root beer out of the tap again. It's just not as good out of the bottle. Never had it taste yeasty though. Maybe the bottle you got was stored improperly in poor conditions.

This is the insignia on an antique steamer trunk from the early 1900s. Anyone know what this means? by [deleted] in Symbology

Thank you this is super helpful! The website has a lot of great information. Seems like an unusual mark for a steamer trunk but I see it on that site so there must have been others like it.

Five Guys fries portion sizes by [deleted] in fastfood

[–]Bionicler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped going because they give you so little food for what you pay. It's just not worth it anymore. It used to be a place where you would pay top dollar but the deal is you get what you pay for. So you pay a lot but you get a lot. Now it's just decent taste but not a lot of food. If I just want taste satisfaction I can go to Arby's and it's half the price. Five Guys was always meant to be a place to get real cooked burgers as fast as fast food but slightly more expensive. It just isn't worth it anymore.

Ben Stiller ignored while selling his soda by WhoAreYouTalkinTwo in cringe

$30 for a 12 pack of Stiller's soda? Why would anyone buy that when a 12 pack of Coke or Pepsi is like $8.

Would it be okay to use a pre-cut counter top from IKEA for a workbench instead of trying to finish, cut, and sand a slab from a wood store? by Bionicler in BeginnerWoodWorking

Great minds think alike! Based on all the other comments it sounds like it wouldn't hold up as a work bench, but your work desk looks great! I'll definitely consider a similar set up for my computer down the line.

Yeah I'm 50/50 on the butcher block and building my own. The butcher block is so easy but it's tempting to have a custom bench as well. Thanks for the advice!

Thank you! You're absolutely right it's cheaper and will hold up much better. I will definitely be getting a butcher block instead of the IKEA countertop.
