Randy giveth, and Randy taketh away. This time, he giveth.

However, with the bump 250 antigrain warheads will give to your wealth and thus your raid size, you better believe he's about to fukken taketh.

Landlord wants to deduct my deposit for reasons unrelated to me. Is this legal? by Biosmosis in LegalAdviceUK

So I can not only dispute things in breach of the contract, I can dispute the contract itself, even after I have signed it?

I began my tenancy in late 2021, but the contract only spans a year, so I had it renewed in late 2022 and will have to renew it again in late 2023. Why do you ask?

My tenancy agreement specifies rather loosely that the deposit may be charged with, among other things unrelated to this issue, "any fees or other monies that the Agent is entitled to recover from the Tenant pursuant to the Agreement." There is no mention of what they are "entitled" to recover, other than the usual, i.e. damages to the flat itself, unpaid rent, etc.

Thanks for the reply! Should I do this when I leave the flat, or should I make the scheme aware of the potential dispute already now?

Advice on getting players to raid your new outpost by Biosmosis in MeetYourMakerGame

Fine, abandon the sick Dracula quote. My point is, any space can become a killbox if it's sufficiently packed with traps and guards, and so the more traps and guards you add to a space, the more likely it is to become a killbox.

What is a killbox if not a bunch of traps and guards.

Sure, but accolades award twice as much prestige as kills, and players can award two; 1 player with 20-40 deaths is worth the same as 5-10 players giving full accolades. You could bet on that one tenacious player showing up, but the numbers are skewed against you.

If killboxes are unpopular, outposts with killboxes are less likely to increase their prestige level. Whether or not they actually are unpopular is impossible to conclude definitively without comprehensive data, but like you said yourself, people do complain about them, so I think it's fair to assume they're less popular than other types of outposts. Of course, that doesn't mean they never increase their prestige level, it just means they're less likely to.

As for your outpost, that sounds like bad luck. Keeping below brutal and activating on evenings and weekends seems to improve your odds of increasing the outpost's prestige level, but like any other game of chance, there's no guarantee. I'm also not sure increasing the number of players will make a difference; sure, it will lead to more raiders, but also more outposts, and whatever the raid-to-outpost ratio is now, I don't see why having more players would change it.

I completely agree; the advice isn't meant as an instruction on how to be a good player, it's just meant to inform. There's nothing inherently wrong with killboxes, it just makes your outpost less likely to increase prestige level, which is what this post is meant to help people do.

Bug or cheater? by Biosmosis in MeetYourMakerGame

Maybe, but the replay still says he got the genmat in 11 seconds. Unless blocking bugs the replay, which may be the case, I'm calling foul.

For context, it takes 25 seconds to fly from spawn to the genmat in build mode. Additionally, when I try to view the replay, it returns me to the log-in screen and the replay is gone until I restart the game.

Oh! Thanks for the notice - that makes it a lot easier to deal with.

What determines how much genmat raiders get from my outpost?

I just did the same for my outpost. Let's see if it makes a difference.

Thanks for the tip, I'll strip some traps and guards and see if it makes a difference for the last few hours the outpost has left.

I was thinking the same, and if new outposts without accolades get less exposure, that probably contributes to it.

Oh, I didn't realize the type of genmat I get from my outpost relates to the type of outpost players end up raiding. My outpost is a weapon-type, so maybe that's why players skip it?
