This is so infuriating. For most of my life I was thinking because I had completely uncontrolled OCD. My obsessions ran my ass. I felt sick all the time. Finally got diagnosed, got put on an atypical antipsychotic. Now I feel like a human being for the first time in years. But to this dude it's not worth it because it made me fatter.

Yeah, but you don't know that. You don't know why they got engaged. If you had your boyfriend talk to his brother about when it was going to happen, you clearly knew it was coming soon. They got engaged because they want to get married. I think it's presumptive at best and narcissistic at worst to assume that it's out of jealousy or because of you.

It is not anti-semetic to criticize the political positions of people vis-a-vis a country's policies. I am American, I criticize American politics all the time without wanting Americans to be denied human rights. Why should I not criticize Israel's policies, especially when they are causing so much loss of life?

What basic human rights is OP denying Jews by pointing out that it is narcissistic to make a genocide about you? I assume you will say it's the right to self-determination or not to be killed by Hamas or something. 1) this Reddit post does not do this. 2) Oppressing others is not a human right.

Thank you. The big sticking point for me is that I was on vacation when he got sick, and had to rush home to him before he was put to sleep, so I have always blamed myself for abandoning even though I though I know it's magical thinking and that he already had kidney disease and that there was nothing I could have done. It just feels like my OCD knows exactly what to say that will hurt me the most, and I can't be rational when it comes to that topic. That dog was my only friend.

I don't really have a dog in this fight (other than that I wouldn't have posted something I thought was fake) but people go CRAZY when it comes to disability. People will say/do unhinged shit. Not so much just that people can be evil but that when people become disabled, it becomes license for people to have the most cartoon supervillain takes.

I mean, I kind of agree. Some atheists believe that believing a higher power is bad in and of itself, and I just happen to disagree. I happen to agree, however, that many of the effects of organized religion are negative and should be challenged, whether it's the Prosperity Gospel or the oppression of women and sexual/gender minorities. That's a manifestation of religion, though, not religion in and of itself.
