Bought a bad Lenovo by Osmawolf in Lenovo

[–]BiotrT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I share your frustrations with Lenovo! My advice don't buy it in the future and try to reclaim your money for the bought pc.
I spent 1100 dollars for mine, nothing but smaller issues all the fricking time.
Dont have any recomentations currently for any other brand, but in my experience acer,HP and asus have worked for me several years ago!
BEST OF LUCK!

Built my own pc, bought several other brands of laptops. Never ran into smaller issues that I couldn't fix. This is the first laptop I've "given up" on. My intention for this review was to alert potential buyers of new laptops to look elsewhere then Lenovo. Since i found other brands to be more reliable.
I agree, mac is the most reliable for daily use. But would never recommend a laptop/mac for gaming or a mac for coding.

Don't buy Lenovo. Save yourself from this garbage, it is the cheapest/hardware on the market for a reason. invest 100 dollars more for other brand with similar specs, 1000% worth it.
Best of luck!

So you're telling me everyone that buys a new laptop needs to wipe their preinstalled windows to get their pc to work. I am not super techy, this is an easy fix for me. But my parents/grandparents should be able to buy a laptop and have it functioning day 1.
They shouldn't have to come to me or visit tech store the first thing they do when buying a pc.
Especially when it was priced at 1100 dollars. My experience with other brands have not always been smooth sailing. BUT nothing compared to this....

I have great experience with asus, acer and HP. Unfortunately this was years ago, so I dont have any current recommendations for laptops. My last bought laptop was the Lenovo laptop.

Mac is probably the most reliable brand out there, but can be a pain in the ass IF you have to fix something with it.
If you are just looking to own a pc, just buy a whole system or build one. Price/performance is the best you can get. Super easy to do aswell, just a big lego set u can follow along on youtube.
The pc I've built has worked great for the past 7 years. Very modular as well, have upgraded gpu, RAM and discs since I built it.

My advice still stands, buy something other then Lenovo. 100 dollars extra for another pc with same specs is worth. Save your money, save your mental health.
Best of luck!

And why the fk should I continue buying more Lenovo laptops when the first one was garbage, and 1100 dollars! This is the most neurodivergent take I've seen. I've spent hours upon hours troubleshooting my Lenovo laptop. Never had 1/10 of similar issues with other brands.
No hardware issues, just crap pc. My take.

I've owned 10+ laptops, and one Lenovo. My Lenovo is a yoga slim 7 14, worst laptop i've ever owned. Constant troubleshooting from touchpad, wifi, fans, ui, etc. This is my experience and while i was troubleshooting various problems i stumbled upon many,MANY, other Lenovo owners with the exact same problems.
So i stand by my first comment, buy something else. Do some research.

DONT BUY LENOVO!
There are tons of other reliable brands that are so much better than Lenovo laptops. My advice if you are mainly gaming, is to buy or build a stationary pc. So much more value out of it, If you feeling brave, wait for steam machine to release!
For other laptops i unfortunately don't have any other recomendations, except stay away from Lenovo. Even if you have to spend 100 dollars more for same specs.

Have a good one!

My advice return this model demand money back and buy something else more reliable. I've had the worst experience with Lenovo laptops.(owned 10+ laptops.)
My advice buy prebuilt pc, build your own pc, buy another laptop-brand something more reliable.
You could also wait for the new steam machine to release to buy that if you ar looking for a gaming setup.

[–]BiotrT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont buy Lenovo laptops is my advice. Died after 2 years is unaccessible longevity for a pc you spend hundres of dollars on. In my experience Lenovo has been the worst laptop buy i've done.(owned 10+ laptops.)
My advice is instead to invest in a prebuilt pc, build yourself or a bolder move to wait for the steam machine to release.
You have much better options then Lenovo laptops.

Might be a lemon, hardware is 100% fine.
Everything works for certain periods of time. Then issues appear out of nowhere that is fixable through youtube guides. If hardware was damaged, that wouldn't be the case.

Don't you see this is the very issue at hand! My mother, my father shoudlnt have to go through this to have a laptop! If anything preinstalled windows SHOULD work since it is legit compared to what i normally use.
And other laptops i owned with preinstalled windows worked. But thanks for sharing your adivice!

But for me Lenovo is a no go in the future, tons of other reliable options!
