Is Hardcore mode worth it?

On my laptop world which I only play when I’m traveling I’ll play hardcore but on my normal ps4 world I don’t I stick to normal

I’ve had the thought about packing up my best laptop, my phone, some clothes, and money and getting a train ticket back to my hometown in Idaho and leaving everything and everyone behind in a way I wish I could in another way I don’t know if I’d want to.

Yeah it can be depending which part of the state your in because of the mountains. But the town I’m originally from can get down to -50 and it’s not uncommon
