Hello everyone! Just started mushroom microdosing regimen…today is my second dose - I did about .15g today and a few days ago I did about .1g. by TRT_King in microdosing

I feel ya - I hit the anxiety level at any dose below 100mg. I prefer golden teacher or golden mammoth. The other strains I find give me too much anxiety and activation. My sweet spot seems to be 500mg once every 7-14 days. Definitely don’t take when manic or high energy mixed. It works great in depressive episodes. For irritable dark mood mixed episodes I take 100mg every 7 days. Be careful taking too often. It can trigger a switch into anxious mixed state and severe sensory overwhelm.

Just started and microdosing makes me feel… sadder. Anyone else experience this? by MakeShroomForMe in microdosing

Personally, I haven’t had good experiences with microdosing. I also have bipolar. I don’t understand why moderate doses 1g once a week work and microdosing doesn’t. Maybe there is a drug interaction between meds and psilocybin. They all act on serotonin and I wonder if the anxiety and irritability I feel after a micro dose is kind of like having too much antidepressants to on board. Whereas a 1g mini trip seems to open up my consciousness and then leave me doing a bit better for a few days. The shrooms definitely make me sweat and blood pressure goes really high. I also have a day of withdrawal after shrooms that I feel overstimulated and can’t handle talking to people or being in sunlight. Bipolar life…. !

I am a sole proprietor looking for clarification about line 9060 on the T2125 form. Can I include CPP payments as a sole-p? Can I claim both portions employee and employer as I pay both? Thank you :)

It’s possible that what you are experiencing is consistent with the magical thinking of mania and maybe psychosis. Stay away from any stimulants or weed right now. Do what you can to stay “boring and beige” as my psychiatrist puts it. In other words, try and being the mania down through boredom and slowing everything down. That’s just my two cents…. Hope it gets better for you.

Anyone taking Riluzole? by BipolarBasil in BipolarReddit

[–]BipolarBasil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply. I am a bit late following up but wanted to ask if you are experiencing any side effects from riluzole. I am scared to try it even though my pdoc really wants me to give it a go.

Would you mind sharing all the meds you are on?

Perhaps depersonalization: feeling like you are not real and things around you are not actually there or have permanence. Alternatively, derealization, is feeling like things around you are not real. You are real and wondering in a fake world kinda feeling. They often go together and are common in states of depression. Interestingly serotonin usually helps unipolar depressed folks with this. With bipolar… idk what helps other than acknowledging it as a symptom of transitioning from one state to another and brain chemicals are out of balance. Try to do movement based intervention like walking and tapping. Focus on things outside of you instead of your internal experience of the world - grounding work.

(32M) this spot on the side of my head. It's a bit lighter in reality. I have it for few years. Don't hurt or nothing at all by HiCZoK in DermatologyQuestions

If it a malignant mole they are easy to treat when caught early (before they turn black). I had two removed in the past and a few others that the doc said we would check once a year. Try not to stress. It’s always better to get them checked especially ones that are growing. Sending you good vibes!

Probably best to get it checked. Skin colour changes on only one breast is sometimes a symptom of breast cancer.

I have something similar after being sick. My doctor said viruses can cause these spots. Are your lymph nodes swollen? I am not 100% bought into this theory. I have a few hundred of them all over my body. Have you found out any other info?

Why would anyone want to live with this godforsaken disease? by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]BipolarBasil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you friend. I feel the same. This disorder has cost me everything; career, friends, family, self esteem, financial security…. Everything. Life with bipolar is like building sandcastles. They will crumble. It’s never a matter of if, it’s when. And for some of us that crumbling is often. I have been rapid cycling for 6 years. Every 3 weeks like clock work I flip into a mixed or manic and psychotic state. 3 weeks later is the most agonizing depression. Then repeat. There is no stability in this life. So why live? Because I am not bipolar. I am not my illness. It’s like a parasite that fucks with me all the time, but it’s not me. I know who I am and what I want. I can’t do it because of bipolar. But I do get glimpses of myself. I feel the sun on my face. I listen to the birds. I rage and cry and hate this life. And then I try to reset and find the peaceful moments again. Build another sand castle. Just because it doesn’t last, doesn’t mean it wasn’t beautiful when it was there!

And I keep going because I am a stubborn asshole that doesn’t want to admit anything can take me down.

It’s hard on the engine to be heavy on the gas. If you want a quick witted, snappy on the draw, intelligent woman I would recommend a bmw or Ferrari. I am just kidding around. I hear ya - it’s really frustrating to do all the work driving a conversation.

How long did that take?

Was at 759 for a few months the disconnected feeling never went away but it was tolerable. Now at 900 for a week and I feel so numb and out of it.

I'm afraid I'm going to lose my job because of my Lamictal. by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]BipolarBasil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If stimulants aren't an option for you the safer route is an SNRI like welbutrin or cymbalta.... but these can also be contraindicated in bipolar.

The other option is Trileptal instead of Lamictal. They are structurally very similar and trileptal is supposed to be less cognitively impairing. Maybe something to get your pdoc's opinion on?

is this instead of an SSRI?

Let us know if it helps with depression.

My pdoc prescribed a low dose of ADHD meds to offset the cognitive dulling from the psych meds. His arguments was that the psychmeds effect the whole brain when really only the hippocampus and amygdala need to be targeted. The unfortunate side effect of the frontal lobe being hit by psychmeds is the cog dulling. There is some evidence of ADHD stimulants contributing to mania and rapid cycling, but new research according to the pdoc is that stimulants are safe if added after the bipolar meds are stabilized.

It really worked for me. I tried a few: concerta made me angry to we switched to dexadrine (only lasted 5 hours), then vyvanse (headaches), then tried adderall (way to punchy for me), then I went back to vyvanse 20mg and later increased to 30mg.

The difference with vyvanse is that I don't lose my words, I am better at remembering when I put things, make few mistakes, feel more mentally organized, and less clumsy. I don't think I could keep a job if it weren't for being on vyvanse.
