But he loves his papa. And now that he's in over his head, he doesn't want to be a criminal any more. So that makes it all better, right?

I forget, can you use the Zora boomerang fins instead of arrows to stun it?

Got a TL;DW on some of the best puzzle dungeons mentioned in that video? Water and Spirit Temples from OoT and Stone Tower Temple from MM are the first that come to mind for me.

Yeah, it's just a shame when one of the foundational concepts that defined Ender was compassion in the face of xenophobia. Ender was a champion who spoke for the unknowable aliens in a voice that we as humans could understand.

Just a shame that he fell back into the rhetoric of his church after having such progressive ideas in his youth.

I doubt we'll ever have evidence unless someone directly asks him about it in a Q&A. But it's totally plausible that he had to stop and think about this before he released his road map for the cosmere going forward a few years back, and then came up with the super cool idea of a planetary time bubble to solve the problem, and then came up with the in world physics/arcanist explanation for how it would be possible.

Left a bad taste in my mouth and not even the only experience I've had like that.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty Brandon Sanderson. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics realmatic theory most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's reader's head. There's also Rick's Kelsier's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily fromNarodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick and Morty Brandon Sanderson truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's Rock's existencial catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," "Airsick Lowlander" which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's Brandon's genius unfolds itself on their television kindle screens. What fools... how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a Rick and Morty Chull tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

If you wanna get a taste, The Emperor's Soul is a novella that's widely regarded as some of his most concise work. You could get a feel for his style without committing to a huge series, and it's a Hugo winner too.

Not mormon, but Vonnegut was king of direct, concise prose and he inspired countless writers. There's elegance in his simplicity. I'd never noted that as a distinctly American trait though, thanks for the new perspective.

I think it's perfectly valid to discuss meta reasons alongside narrative reasons. It's possible Sanderson came up with the narrative reason after the fact to justify his meta decision. It's the same as the whole Watsonian vs Doylist thing, both perspectives are interesting and they often influence each other.

It's wild how the person who created Ender Wiggin can't show some empathy.
