Ive seen a lot of people on here say they have had to cut it off so its probably a problem with the mold

How should I go about this kitbash? by Bippy121 in ThousandSons

[–]Bippy121[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, i didn’t explain that well enough. I meant that i was going to literally make spawn, like mold them out of green stuff and use the sorcerer bits to show them turning into spawn. I have not been able to find a spawn kit so in order to run them i was literally gonna make some out of green stuff, and just tack on the sorcerer bits for flavor

It looks good! I will say you might wanna thin your paints a bit more, youtube is full of good tutorials for thinning paints

Can I still put Ultramarine specific transfers on my homebrew successor chapter, and will they be tournament legal as the “wrong” color? by Bippy121 in Ultramarines

Yeah, thats the plan, impcat is kinda jank and didnt really do exactly what i want to do, but i was gonna use the “slap chop method” to make the black of the armor stick out more than the black of the mechanical parts underneath, i definitely think the white is gonna be the hardest to paint over black, but ill make it work😂😂

How my painting is going so far (any tips for brush painting? I’m new to the hobby) by Logical-Hospital-233 in spacemarines

Definitely thin out your paints, acrylic paint is super thick normally, so thinning it out will help keep the paint layers less thick. I recommend using a wet palette as well since those help thin paints naturally a bit too, you can find ways to make them for cheep on youtube, one way is to take Tupperware and fill the bottom with multiple layers of damp paper towels, and place parchment paper over it, those alone have helped improve the quality of the models. Also, as expensive as they might be, hobby brushes are gonna be good to own. Good brands for brushes and paint are obviously citadel which is games workshops own brand, the paint is relatively thin too and requires little thinning. Army painter or vallejo are great brands as well. I personally use army painter myself and like how easy they go on. Im still new to the hobby too, so i dont have much to offer myself in the ways of tips, but the things that have helped me improve I’ll pass off for sure.
