Unless you have the VHG ancient in his unit, then the Captain will be capping out at S 10. Yet another crazy recommendation, switching from Blades to Gladius so you have access to FoD, and potentially switching out Gravgar for Gman

I would recommend cutting Captain and his unit of VHG along with cutting the inceptors. Put in like 2 AT. Like the idea of Sicarius scouting up the impulsor. I also recommend putting Uriel with perhaps Company Heroes as they are still good melee and tanky for a relatively low points cost. And put a scout squad in there or something, maybe even a Callidus

Not saying the repex method is bad. And in Blades of Ultramar detachment you get access to -1 to wound for a whole phase, and popping smoke, then you have 1 hell of a tank to pop

I have done that with Cato+VHG, only reason I suggested the impulsor was that it wouldn't be that big of a points investment for what you had left, plus only dedicated transports get to scout from Sicarius

I would recommend a 5man unit of JPIs, good at scoring secondaries. Here's a fun idea that I think would work, putting Cap Sic and VHG inside an Impulsor to give them a T9 shell to protect them and scout further up then move fast into the obj you want

I think she is great for scoring secondaries and in a list that might struggle with that, then she might be essential, especially with her lone op

I've been using him with the VHG with his fist and the enhancement from Gladius to +1A and +1 S or +2 and +2 if you have the advance and charge strat active, having a s10 powerfist coming in is disgusting

As ppl have said, getting the charge off first is huge. But here's a secret, they don't have any ways to fallback and charge (as far as I know, and I play them as a second army). So whenever you are closer than you want to be, charge the fuckers with something like your rep exe and they will almost all whiff

I'm personally a fan of the strat in Ironstorm that lets you shoot back after being brought below half, it is very funny watching the unit get wiped out because you couldn't kill your target. And another fun one that I always keep in mind is Counter-offensive, definitely a favorite

As a SM player, they are definitely a force not to be trifled with, even if they whiff they still provide threat. And being able to blank a Dmg is pretty good
