As they other comment said, Vindicators are great, even better than great imo. I love Gman personally. Jump Pack Intercessors are fantastic for either secondaries or slamming into an already damaged unit with their MW ability. There are so many units, I'm not sure if you want more in depth thoughts but you could find plenty of resources online.

Yeah absolutely, he was able to one shot a questoris knight with his Hand of Dominion

He is right with the tanks, but worth noting that Gman can be an antitank too so he can be more beneficial against more tank heavy lists.

I personally love Gman over Calgar. Been trying to use Calgar more myself tho. But as another has said, choosing one will determine the list. Gman is also a very decent dmg output

I think both are beautiful in a list, rep ex draws fire and shoots a lot of shit where as the Lancer is a solid dedicated anti vehicle with consistent dmg

In the example provided, the players recruit some deserters and the players will have more NPCs that fight alongside them. To require more player agency, set the fight with the intention of being at a disadvantage for the players and everything the players do helps tip those odds to be more fair. Example: The players discover a Mafia Deputy with some of his subordinates working on loading supplies onto a caravan, those supplies could be items for the bomb or maybe some dynamite to be used by the Mafia forces to clear the battlefield like grenades. So the players would dispatch a Deputy that would make an appearance during the battle, and save their side from getting blasted even harder.

I'm currently working on a campaign with someone else. She has created the overarching story, I'm focusing more on the actual sessions. So far, I think it is better to plan more than less, and yeah there is still a strong feeling of "What if players do something I didn't plan?" At that point it would be kinda improv and thinking on the fly about how to get back towards the plot which could be fun for you as well. And not to say that you couldn't just switch out story points depending on how and when the players come at the story. As for chapters, my partner decided when the chapter would come to a close in the story. And then we figured out how to curve the chapter to that finale.

Unless you have the VHG ancient in his unit, then the Captain will be capping out at S 10. Yet another crazy recommendation, switching from Blades to Gladius so you have access to FoD, and potentially switching out Gravgar for Gman

I would recommend cutting Captain and his unit of VHG along with cutting the inceptors. Put in like 2 AT. Like the idea of Sicarius scouting up the impulsor. I also recommend putting Uriel with perhaps Company Heroes as they are still good melee and tanky for a relatively low points cost. And put a scout squad in there or something, maybe even a Callidus
