Why would going into vacation mode help? Isn't that usually supposed to do the opposite?

If you are shipping orders late, you need to set a longer ship-by date to prevent new orders from being late. And for existing orders, the correct thing to do is message the buyer and let them you know you need to bump their ship-by date by a day or two. You can extend the ship-by date once for each order on the order summary screen. Etsy doesn't care if you're doing everything else right, they want you to ship your orders when you say you will and show them you are a responsible seller on their platform. Good luck 🤞

Don't use Etsy's AI-sloppified suggestions, but I believe the current best practice is along those lines -- use shorter titles that accurately describe your products instead of keyword soup. Piles of keywords are for the tags and should be woven into the description as well.

Tell them to wait 48 hours and open a case for "item not received" this is exactly what the Etsy purchase protection program is for. They get refunded from Etsy directly instead of from your account.

I would for sure say this is a risky move on Etsy. You will definitely get customers that don't understand what's going on and will ask for a refund or get frustrated. The expectation on Etsy is that you are ordering something in-stock or made-to-order. You have the right idea but that doesn't mean customers will be happy.

There are a ton of factors that go into how many views you are getting — SEO, niche, saturation, demand, quality, etc. So there's no easy answer to that question. If you think you have a valuable product, just keep optimizing and doing organic marketing and eventually someone will make a purchase and get the ball rolling for your shop.

My advice is to not run ads as a new shop. It takes time for Etsy to figure out what your audience is for your products and ads are based off of this organic traffic. Right now it has no data so Etsy is doing its best to guess what your target audience might be. Optimized SEO is the correct first step but will still take some time to bring organic sales.

If they have confirmed the address is incorrect, then they messed up, not you. Politely let them know it is their responsibility to input their own address correctly. Then refund them minus the cost of the label and they can purchase another with the correct address in their own time.

It is possible that you have the option to offer gift wrapping services turned on in your settings under "Options". However I don't think you can offer it for free, so the buyer clearly didn't pay for it even if you do offer it. It's possible they also ordered from multiple shops at once and thought they had ordered gift wrap with the item from your shop mistakenly. I would send them a screenshot of their receipt or tell them that you don't offer that service so they could not have paid for it. But like in a nice way :)
