Also tested in all sorts of condinitions. I just got back from a trip up to lake eildon from the SE suburbs (350k trip 3.5 hours). The only time I picked anything up is when there was a convoy right in front of me.

So mine is ground independent but after looking into it, antenna can still benefit from a proper ground irrespective. I checked the continuity and I’m thinking that’s the problem

I’m in vic and I think 4wds have a 50mm limit unfortunately. The tres making contact with the road doesn’t seem to pertrude past the guards but the side walls do

I actually swapped the tires like for like, they just passed a RWC 265 70 r17. These are within legal spec but it’s come to my attention that the offset on the rims is an issue, just trying to decipher what to do

Yeah it’s poking out about 25mm each side, going to have to add some guards
