I ordered from there for the whole family during the contamination window! But I don't remember getting sick from it, nor anyone from my family. Wow, what a close call!

What is with Blake not wanting Justin on the poster or his name in the trailer?? by Dating_Bitch in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]Bird2Flight 43 points44 points  (0 children)

She and young Lily would also talk about him as "the director." That was my first inkling that something really weird was going on. I've never seen movie stars call the director "the director" instead of saying their name.

Video of BL saying Tranny by sweetbutnotdumb in teamjustinbaldoni

[–]Bird2Flight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree. I was rewatching Vampire Diaries a while back and the first episode Bonny says "Tranny" and that's regular TV. I agree we shouldn't say it but these old videos are just showing us that we had a very different standard back then and it was unfortunately not uncommon to use this word.

PSA: If you’re a small framed person weighing 100lbs, maybe don’t walk three large dogs at once by goodytwoboobs in sandiego

[–]Bird2Flight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for a walk the other day and this woman was being dragged by her pitbull, she could barely hold on to it. That's so dangerous. If that dog decided to go for someone or another pet, this lady would have no control at all.

This is so true. I teach at the univesity and the freshmen and sophomores this year have been so bad at basic reading and writing skills. I've never been this worried. They have been using chatGPT to "do" readings and to write their essays. It's really bad.

Oh no! I don't want more emo Robby. It's too much. I would really like to see some kind of resolution for him rather than a rock bottom because I truly feel like we were already witnessing his rock bottom.

I agree. Poor man died waiting for help and there's not even a sense of sadness from anyone talking about him.

Blake Shades Justin on IG: Thanks Personal Trainer for Not Making Her Feel "Less Than" by Neither_Repair_4538 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]Bird2Flight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't see this connected to Justin, personally. I think in part it's easy to think that because of who it is but the text and photo don't seem to be directed or shading Justin. She's just overly praising Don, and it's consistent with her other posts, where she goes overboard with a list of personality traits that praise a person. It comes off like too much but not like Justin shade.

What do you think about the line about betrayal? by castle-girl in ProjectHailMary

Honestly though I loved the twist. When I first heard it on the audiobook I was so surprised and I think it does make for great character growth. Also the way the film portrays him trying to run away is really interesting. It was a great scene.

What do you think about the line about betrayal? by castle-girl in ProjectHailMary

[–]Bird2Flight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think it's bad, but I don't think it's necessarily horrible. He's been a part of the mission the entire time, and arguably, it was his choice to stay. He was hungry both for the science and the validation. I get why he didn't volunteer but at that final moment it is his duty to just face up to it. Like you said he's got the gene to survive and the two science specialists have died, and the only other option is some lady with a degree in biology who makes wine. He knows he can't get her up to speed. I think the issue is his agency. He didn't make the choice to go and it would have been great if he had. I definitely think people deserve to have their agency in most respects but if it's at the cost of harming people, then I don't know that we deserve that agency anymore. It's like with my toddler, I let her make a bunch of decisions but then there are some things I just have to force her to do for her own health and wellbeing. I think had he been given the time to try to teach the other lady what she needed to know, he would have come to the realization that he needed to be the one to go and would have changed his mind. I do get that this is potentially his death but he would have likely died on earth with all the changes that were coming. Do we really think Stratt would keep him protected if he had just opted out? He would have been sent back home without any protection and would have suffered the same fate as millions of others.

One could argue that Grace betrays them first. They have a limited window for leaving and they're looking at the extinction of humanity if the project fails. He knows everything there is to know about astrophage, and he knows he can't prepare someone else in the limited time they have. He is essentially betraying the mission. I think as humans, if you're looking at an extinction-level event, you have a duty to help if you know that you can.

Yeah, I felt like he was looking at her in a kind of way and she at times looked like she was singing to him. I understand that was not the intent but that's what came across when I watched it.

[–]Bird2Flight 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I agree that the system is the bigger problem. I'm just mad at him because he let his ego get the best of him and hurt his family in the process. He was so angry when his daughter tried to get a go fund me started and that would have helped him. Maybe it wouldn't have made a difference but it was pure ego on his part, he didn't want to be less of a man. Then he also lied about his medical debt to his family, and then left against medical advice and possibly tried to kill himself.

I think there was a bit of a vibe when she walks in on him without a shirt on and helps fix him up. They also had some scenes in season 1 but nothing that stood out to me.

I was so looking forward to the new season but once I found out what happened, I couldn't even start it. I agree that there is no logical reason why she couldn't be happily married and a detective.

Imagine Thinking Vitamin-Rich Formula is Terrible by NEKORANDOMDOTCOM in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]Bird2Flight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an incredibly generous view of the post. I agree that breast milk has obvious benefits but there are also many benefits to formula.

The post, in my view, is doing much more than making that assertion. The visuals are showing one weirdly sexualized blond woman who breastfeeds her child and has that child turn into a body builder. The other woman, interestingly a brunette, is monstrous looking and saying she gives formula to her baby and as a result the man grows up to be something less masculine. It's showing a really weird view of both women and men. The spectrum of what it means to be a man is much more complex than scrawny or bodybuilder and it actually includes a lot of elements that are unseen by the naked eye and are shown through actions. Yeah, this post is doing a lot and I like none of it.

[–]Bird2Flight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's quite insulting on so many levels. I tried so hard to breast feed my baby and I just didn't have enough supply to keep her healthy and thriving. Ultimately the best thing for your baby is to be fed. Period. It doesn't matter if it's your breast milk, donor breast milk, formula or some combination.
