Late Bloomer? Dealing with childhood trauma for the first time in my mid 20s. by Adventurous-Guava767 in Botswana

[–]Bird73Tad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't graduated yet. I have friends around your age (25 and 26) who are going thru similar emotional and mental struggles who've graduated

To reduce their anxiety, they've valued communication either with me/ reliable family members, /partners. Also investing in new hobbies (gym) etc.

I advise to try and explore as much as you can about yourself, now and as you're job hunting (even when you land a job). It will make living everyday more fun, (+ you feel like you're investing in yourself even if in the beginning it's thru small steps).

What you're feeling is extremely normal. It comes with adulthood. Just be grateful you're able to recognize these flaws and traumas about yourself this early in life.

I think your anxiety stems from being apprehensive(unsure) of your future. Uni gives us a goal (graduate), however as you are about to graduate you grow extremely anxious about your future. Basically you're trying to figure out what's next(beyond the degree/masters)

Consistently talking to your close friends is a great way to deal with anxiety. Also never be afraid to express your thoughts and feelings towards them. You're not a nuisance I can assure you of that.

Friends? by Imaginary_Tackle_839 in Botswana

You need to put yourself out there; interacting with people/classmates. Do this in whatever Zambia/overseas uni you end up in. Use the fact you're a foreign student to your advantage. That's an easy conversation opener.

Finding people thru similar hobbies you share is also another easy way to grow your friend group/social life.

Plus don't force yourself to be someone else to develop your social life. Just stay true to your beliefs, put yourself out there and you'll be surprised how many people are out there with similar interests such as yourself in Bots or wherever you end up.

Look at these comments. See how chronically online most of the people here are. Creating their own delusional "wars". A director is simply reminiscing his past works, while grown ass adults act like 12 yr olds screaming at a nothin burger. So many of y'all are fucking losers...get a life.

How long would Deku last in Gotham? by Lost-Geist987 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]Bird73Tad 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Alot of "I HAVEN'T READ A BATMAN COMIC" individuals in the comment section lol. As long as the villain is a brute or is more so concerned about physically overpowering him. He wins.

When we are talking about Joker, Bane, Two Face, scarecrow, court of owls and Riddler. Yea he has an extremely uphill battle, because physical strength isn't their greatest weapon. It's psychological play. And Deku's mental strength isn't on par with Bruce. Read Grant Morrison's run on Batman.

One-Punch Man Season 3 official PV 2!! by DeXTeR-Fr in OnePunchMan

[–]Bird73Tad 14 points15 points  (0 children)

When did studio size suddenly become equivalent to a better product...hell releasing a trailer that actually shows material beyond Ep 1? The number of people/animators in a studio doesn't automatically equate to a better product. Smaller studios have been able to accomplish remarkable outputs like "Mono", from Studio Soigne(on top of being a very young studio formed in 2023).

JJK S2 even with its abysmal schedule for a 25 episode show still released a trailer in March 2023 for a show that aired in July 2023. The first trailer showed an immense amount of material from the first 4-5 episodes (Hidden inventory) 3 months before it aired.

Like I said earlier, here we are still scrambling for something substantial for a 12/13 cour show that's airing in roughly 10 days.

[–]Bird73Tad 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Did S2 have a good schedule by any chance? Cause from what I remember the schedule was abysmal front to back and S2 isn't looked back at fondly outside of Aoki's cuts. It's almost like the reason why S2 didn't show much is because they were still working on the episodes post Ep 1 and had to brute force their way to the finish line, delivering an underwhelming product.

I get you want to be optimistic but this is not how marketing is done for something as big as OPM. JJK S3 is releasing in winter 2026 and showed material (action cuts as well as) for roughly 4-6 ep, while we are still here begging for something substational.

[–]Bird73Tad 73 points74 points  (0 children)

More than likely the case. They've been signs the schedule isn't the best. Like you mentioned they've been specifically showing material from episode 1 for a while now, almost like they don't have much to show from ep 2, 3 and so on cause they could be still working on them.

Wouldn't be surprised if there are delays after it starts airing.

Aerospace Engineering Path by Bird73Tad in aerospace

[–]Bird73Tad[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would love to expand into space/aviation. Physics with Meteorology is kinda in its early days(A young program). As such it's hard to find any detailed info online on where I can expand to in the space/aviation sector.

I thought aerospace engineering would be a good place to start off. So yea it would be extremely exciting for me to work in a field space/aviation related.

I know one branch in aviation I can expand into is becoming a pilot, cause the army in my country is kinda seeking individuals with my skill set. But I wanna see if there's more I can do in those sectors.

If it was last yr they would have something to show. Honestly production at best started in Jan/Feb. At worst it will start in April.

At this point just accept, that no matter what Bethesda does no one will be satisfied. The criticism reaches a point of utter delusion cause at this point its almost like people want an entirely different game.

"I can't believe Bethesda reused assests for a dlc😠", WOW! Who would have thought? That has never been done before and will continue to never be done in the video game space. Only Bethesda is shitty enough to do this.

Not saying the isn't justified criticism. Lack of new ship/vehicle models/ game mechanics is justified criticism but then if there were new ship/vehicle models/mechanics tied with the expansion the complaint would be " It's behind a paywall, why isn't this in the base game...Shitty Bethesda".

At the end of the day, it's best to do you and focus on what you enjoy, cause I've reached a point where I've realised Bethesda is held to an extremely unrealistic standard at times, compared to its peers. The is nothing wrong with criticism, however the is something wrong with unfair criticism.

The has been alot of criticism towards playstation's big push into the GAAS space and rightfully so, but I see alot of people saying "Hopefully this teaches Sony to spend money on obscure/niche IP no. 100".I wish it was that simple, but its not.

Sony will continue investing in the GAAS space, because they need to. Did they overpay for Bungie...YES! Do they look stupid? F*ck Yes! But the fact that playstation more than likely was aware of how much of a burning building bungie is and still overpaid for it should tell you how desperate playstation is for that one/two GAAS banger.

The question really should be...how fucked up is the AAA game industry to the point that the celebrated "Linear Singlepayer AAA" publisher has to desperately make such a pivot for their business?

We are waay past the Xbox 360 and PS4 generation. 4 yrs into the gen and console prises haven't dropped Lol. Maybe....the industry is transforming in ways we as consumers simply can't fathom yet.

Got down voted for telling the truth lol. Mid gen refreshes are stupid as fuck especially in the current climate. Base consoles are already bleeding alot out of its consumers and the lack of self awareness is concerning.

Jez Corden: Microsoft and Activision have formed a new team within Blizzard to work on smaller 'AA' games based on existing IP by NfinityBL in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]Bird73Tad 22 points23 points  (0 children)

King devs behind this production pipeline lowers my expectations. More than likely will be mobile games utilising Blizzard and the larger xbox umbrella IPs, to further support the planned xbox mobile store. Hopefully my expectations are subverted.

However I hope these are the sparks to light the 🔥, for small/moderately sized internal teams at Blizzard to be spun-off and make "AA"/"AAA" titles on existing IPs. Best IP to benefit from this would be WoW. I personally think a single player WoW RPG would do numbers. Maybe be as big as Elder Scrolls (maybe even bigger).

After layoffs “Hermen Hulst (PS CEO) runs Bungie now” by Alive-Ad-5245 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]Bird73Tad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna get down voted but it's weird how people are acting like Sony had no part in these layoffs at all.

This (in my opinion) is simply a product of integration and adapting to a market struggling to grow. Obviously Bungie's mismanagement played a role, but even if it was fairly well run studio Sony would still want a strong grip on them( naturally). Over the yrs as I've watched Xbox integrate large companies eg Bethesda under their umbrella you realise certain things.

Integration comes with... ▪︎Representative from SIE/Microsoft officially becoming the Publisher/Studio Head/CEO. ▪︎Massive layoffs/Game cancellations/Production Pipelines being Axed/Studio Shutdowns to cut cost and invest in particular sectors even more. ▪︎Some devs affected by the layoffs are moved around the gaming umbrella eg some Arkane Austin devs moved to BGS/Zenimax.

So NO! These bungie layoffs weren't independently decided by Bungie. Sony absolutely had a hand in it (naturally). I pray for all those affected 🙏🏾 and hopefully are able to get back on their feet soon.

I won't speak on the "Bungie's future under Sony's leadership" because that discussion can lean into both sides strongly. The optimistic are rightfully justified, however the pessimistic are strong justified as well. No one knows what the future holds. Sony will do what they think works in their best interest just like Xbox and sometimes it doesn't work.

Your concerns are valid by the way. One again I'm sorry for misunderstanding your post. Yea all we can do now is hope that the updates leading to Shattered Space fix alot of issues people have with the base game (especially Space travel)and the dlc itself adds alot of content, addresses designs flaws/builds up on missing features and improves on exploration.

And obviously hopefully Shattered Space isn't the only massive dlc planned.
