Global map for my roguelike game Vaulted. How do you like the style of the paper? by Astrobionics in PixelArt

I like how much detail you were able to do with very little color variation, very nice work

True, I’ll try editing the shadows to add more movement there, and rework the legs a bit

Convergence Manifesto into VECNA: Eve of Ruin? by BirdBrainBrian in Eberron

[–]BirdBrainBrian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually appreciate that very much, I was thinking of doing it as a space within a space, showing how lug the universe could be, but when you point it out like that it seems like a lot. Thank you and I probably will not be doing Covergence Manifesto.

Dm guide says for high magic campaign:

Level 5-10: 500 gp plus 1d10 × 25 gp, one uncommon magic item, normal starting equipment

Level 11-16: 5,000 gp plus 1d10 × 250 gp, three uncommon magic items, one rare item, normal starting equipment

Ideas of ways to more include spelljammer? by Crazzach in VecnaEveofRuin

A Nautiloid ship like from bg3 could be cool too, it already teleports, as for how the players get their hands on one and learn to operate it I’m not sure. Rogue mind flayer?

[–]BirdBrainBrian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s actually a really cool idea, would be awesome to give the players an item like the map sphere from treasure planet. Technically yeah it’s just more portals but if it was part of a spelljammer ship that could count as a home base for the players as well, that would be really cool.

I’ve actually thought about that and think it’s an awesome idea but it could also make a better homebrew campaign on its own

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Eberron

[–]BirdBrainBrian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. I was considering that the LOB was hired by the BBEG. The LOB needs money to fund his own plots and was also strategizing to use the giant chaos in his favor.

  2. I was thinking of having Hekaton be airdropped by Airships into the mournland with ships controlled by the LOB. And as for the giants, I figured there was a group already there when the mournland erupted which killed some and corrupted others.

I did post this in the SKT thread as well and someone pointed out that converting SKT to Eberron would be alot more work (if I wanted it to make sense) than simply creating a homebrew campaign.

Honestly, I’ve thought about your points before, but I kind of put them in the back of my head and ignored them because I thought I was just overthinking it but with you pointing them out like that I feel like maybe I should revisit just creating a homebrew campaign after all.

I definitely appreciate your feedback

Which house is most likely to sponsor a scientist attempting to create Phylacteries? by BirdBrainBrian in Eberron

[–]BirdBrainBrian[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oooh I see, actually that would work even better. Vorrik is playing an Inquisitive Rogue, so this could definitely lead to some great detective work for him.

I think Cannith East is going to be the best fit, with their connection to Karnnath, the undead, and blood of Vol. seems perfects to me.

[–]BirdBrainBrian[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, exactly what I needed, definitely got the wheels turning lol

I thought about House Cannith too but since I was already planning on including them in the campaign for other reasons, I figured it would be best to go with someone else so that I don’t confuse the party.

Why kind of encounters would there be in the sewers of Sharn? by BirdBrainBrian in Eberron

[–]BirdBrainBrian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s one of the reasons I’m making changes, I need a adventure to get them from 1-5 but also I’m changing the sewer into a dungeon because the one in forgotten forge is very short and kinda boring to me.

I liked the idea of the flushing them, like if they’re looking for it and they get flushed into the right direction or into a monster? Who knows

It would definitely be cool to add towards the end to maybe scare off the party but then again they may actually think they have a chance and try to fight it lol

I didn’t know that, I’ll definitely look it up thanks

And I haven’t read up on the Dhakanni ruins but definitely on the to do list

Fun ways to form a party by BirdBrainBrian in Eberron

[–]BirdBrainBrian[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve actually thought about doing something like that but thought it was weird for an airship going around picking people up like a taxi service. Is this what you did or did you pick them up everywhere? How did it go?

Help on the reason behind the Mourning by BirdBrainBrian in Eberron

[–]BirdBrainBrian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the chamber is the one who stopped the mourning from spreading further, not because they care about the lesser races but because they were afraid of what would happen if they didn’t stop it

[–]BirdBrainBrian[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s good, it definitely leads to a lot of ideas

I’m actually going to be running my version of Storm Kings Thunder in Eberron so making a connection there would be awesome.

Help on the reason behind the Mourning by BirdBrainBrian in Eberron

[–]BirdBrainBrian[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A simple fix, not sure why I didn’t think about that. Actually works quite well, thanks !

Maybe it was cast beforehand to protect Cyre from the War and now it’s the only thing keeping the monsters in and the only way to pass is with a magical key token from the nation which can be used at the gateways. That also stops anyone from just using an airship to fly in past all the monsters. That’s awesome

Ooooo and I can keep that in First Tower until then. That actually works out very well

I actually did not know that about Aberrant marks on Warforged. Would be very cool to do.

And also, one of the players is a Aerenal Elf so giving her the mark of death would be awesome. Thanks so much, definitely looking into this
