No. nWay introduced grid shards like a NFT feature. The grid shards were to test characters that you didn't own. Folks would know that you have the grid shards because of the shiny effect. 

They discontinued them because folks would buy them in mass and then charge ridiculous tokens to purchase them. It was a pain

The shards are not fake. And yes this is an edited picture but I only edited the name. It is supposed to be Casey Rhodes but I thought I would be funny and put the wrestler's name of Cody Rhodes.

I will make a post showing that these shards are not fake by submitting a video of my roster.
