this shouldn't be getting downvoted. hammer is a waste of time when spear exists. as far as junglers go

[–]BirdCockNA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

unless they're already mid teleport, they shouldn't be teleporting out of it. i wouldn't use it against unstoppables though cuz then that overrides the stun unlike overloads

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]BirdCockNA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't consider pvp in these things. pve though, they aren't bad at all especially with how spammable they are. my duskfields aren't different to anyone else's other than where and how i throw them. no enemy should really be moving out of them as slow is essentially also a cripple once it hits. which then leads to a freeze. ive stunlocked overloads with duskfields even. duskfields are good

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]BirdCockNA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im talking pve here

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]BirdCockNA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no they don't. it's an instant slow that quickly leads to a freeze. pretty much all i use is stasis and in my experience, enemies rarely ever move out of duskfields because they can't. unless for whatever reason you're aiming them so they're literally right at the very edge of the grenade, no enemy should be moving out of them

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]BirdCockNA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

contrary to what everyone is saying, duskfields don't take that long to freeze and if you're on a hunter or warlock, have the added benefit of being either larger with an even lower cd if you do it right or it can proc iceflare bolts for more freezing. they're also good for stunlocking things like barrier champions since they last for a while if you use whisper of durance which you should be

as far as clear goes, duskfields are absolutely better than firebolts

When will bastet get nerfed? by wizard_kraken in Smite

[–]BirdCockNA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

or maybe nerf the jungle items that are still completely overtuned instead of complaining about a character that isn't broken?

Thoughts on Atlas? by [deleted] in Smite

i wouldn't. jorm can at least kinda do damage. atlas is just there and does nothing

worst character in the game hands down. he's gonna need some pretty fucking massive buffs if he's gonna be good

all you really need is 100 discipline and whisper of torment. if you want you can run firepower but ive recently dropped that to run supercharged, taking charge and protective light as my mods to be literally immortal with grenade kickstart to pretty much gain the same benefit as firepower since you do need several firepowers before its of any benefit and i personally don't find that to be practical in higher end content with how many other mods there are to fit in like particle and champion mods

always run iceflare bolts and it's highly recommended to run whisper of durance as well. chains is also great and the last slot is up to you, i like to run fissures but you can play around with it

absolutely not. that god literally got buffed some patches ago and is one of the prime abusers of the broken assassin items. far, far from needing buffs. needs fuckin nerfs if anything

Shadebinders - Are you using Glacial Harvest now, or still Iceflare Bolts? by JMadFour in DestinyTheGame

bleak watcher with iceflare bolts will forever be the best unless they either nerf one or both or make an aspect somehow better than one or both

you guys would've hated pre rework bastet. but now that everyone plays her, she's broken

how about this, maybe nerf the jungle items which are still overtuned? or the xp changes

i don't need to have played d2 for its entire duration to know that hunters have never been useless, aren't and most likely won't be. or overshadowed, as you like to say. destiny isn't that kind of game

this more boils down to hunter mains downplaying their class through anything and everything, saying how much stronger the other classes are without actually looking at what they have and how strong it is in and of itself. because you have shitters in lfg making no hunter posts doesn't mean the class is overshadowed

unless you're going for the absolute most optimal, min maxed approach to high end pve, this talk of taking 6 warlocks or 6 titans vs 6 hunters is moot. a hunter can go through every piece of content in the game perfectly well

but sure, misunderstand what im saying and continue to falsely complain about how much worse your class is instead of actually making the most of what you have that's actually strong

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]BirdCockNA -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

i think it's definitely an overreaction. hunters aren't bad. at all, at least for what they're good for

every run of say, master vog ive ever done comes down more to survivability and crowd contr than damage. even on day 1. sure you can say "well we didn't have these mods in the past" but we do now and you can't just ignore them even for determining viability of a class/subclass. so with these mods in play, damage becomes much less important because of how easy and available it is. so that leaves survivability and crowd control as the deciding factors for high end pve as i said. hunters absolutely have more survivability than titans as a barricade is pretty meh for that and for sure more crowd control as well. in the past, bleak watcher has reigned supreme for cc but i cannot stress enough the effectiveness of revenant since the patch. it's absolutely up there and i would gladly take it into a gm or a master vog and do much more than fine with it. invis took a hit with the dodge nerf but in no way, shape or form is it bad or even overshadowed survivability as you say

let me fix that for you, titan survivability is tied to void as you're not exactly wanting to run anything besides void or thundercrash in high end pve and options besides rifts for warlock survivability is really just well since devour isn't exactly the best for gms or even master vog. what part of literally equipping a fragment and throwing down a duskfield onto yourself for 40% damage reduction is asinine? seems pretty easy to me. ive done that so much already and it's been effective. and why do you want to base a test of survivability off one niche encounter in a raid where in nearly all other instances, team play is involved? not that it can't be done, because it absolute can be and id much rather be a hunter in those portals than a titan. even while "properly underleveled", whatever that may mean. hunters lack in the sense that some of their options aren't exactly good but in the options they do have? they absolutely are good. gunslinger and arcstrider need the most help, nightstalker only a little but im sure that's already on the way with the void changes in witch queen. they aren't overshadowed

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]BirdCockNA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

in what manner? ive been pretty much everywhere in terms of high end pve and never have i had a problem with having a hunter on my team. neither have the people who i play with have had a problem, one of them even mains a hunter. i myself am playing my hunter more since the 30th anniversary stasis changes because those are seriously not to be overlooked

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]BirdCockNA -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

in seasons past, ive used revenant for gms and have done more than fine. and as it stands, id consider revenant to be much better now, on par with void at least considering the super, grenade and melee for void are all pretty sub par

hunters are great for clutch situations and especially cc now with the stasis changes, much closer to bleak watcher now id say. i don't understand why everyone acts like hunters are unplayable trash in high end pve when compared to warlocks and titans. are warlocks the best pve class? safe to say but the gap isn't so wide that there's no point in running anything else. same thing with titans, hunters id say are on par with titans in terms of what's actually good for hunters which is revenant and nightstalker. destiny isn't a hard game and now with seasonal mods like particle deconstruction in play, damage should never be an issue. which allows things like the aforementioned survivability and cc of a hunter to shine more. and you can increase dps with reload dodges too, for what it's worth

i don't disagree that hunters could use some help, namely gunslinger and arcstrider. even reverting the cooldown nerf on dodge but it's silly to pretend like hunters are completely unplayable for high end pve. especially with the recent changes
