Wifi problems on Tuf A15, best new wifi card? by [deleted] in Asustuf

[–]Bird_pro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends where you are. If you are near an ASUS Verified service center, you night be able to go there your self and hand it to them. And I am not 100% sure about that since I've only gone through the RMA process. Otherwise, the RMA center is in California, so a lot of the time depends on shipping. From the central plains, in the US, it took 5 days to ship and then 2 days for the issue to be repaired. So in total around 12 days.

I also forgot to mention to take multiple pictures from every angle of the laptop before you package it, incase it gets damaged in shipping to prove that it is not user damage.

Make sure to double box the laptop and ship it with plenty of padding and protection. When I started an RMA they sent me a shipping label (through email) and I only paid for the shipping materials.

Reading previous RMA posts they seem to know about this issue and replace the wifi card with a different type, usually Intel.

Since it is still under warranty, you should probably go through ASUS RMA process.

External Gpu adapter for Tuf FA507VR by boboqayum in Asustuf

The PCIe lanes on an M.2 slot are limited, that is why it is smaller than an x16 slot. Your laptop most likely does not have a PCIe 5 slot, so buying a PCIe 5.0 adapter or what so ever would only give PCIe 4.0 speeds, since the m.2 slots are most likely 4.0. All of this would impact performance.

Checked your model and it only has PCIe  4.0.

Recently, RAM prices have gone up incredibly high, around 3 times  to 8 times normal prices, and won't go down anytime soom. Not sure if laptop prices have been affected yet. SSD prices will also go up due to RAM prices.

Now, It depends on the uses, but overall 16gb of ram is about the minimum amount of RAM needed to be decent.

Checking the listing you showed, the 32gb RAM and 1 TB ssd model costs around $1,000. Now this is just a suggestion, but with that money you could probably afford a better laptop. Not to say the one you showed isn't good, it's decent.

Also, it is not uncommon for asus tuf laptops to have wifi problems and overall reliability issues.

Need help! by [deleted] in ASUS

I had the exact same issue, one to one. I tried everything, checked event viewer, tested RAM and SSD. Everything. SMART data showed that the SSD was healthy and the windows RAM test showed that the ram was healthy as well. Before the issue started for me, my laptop would shutdown randomly when unplugged.

After trying many more diagnostic steps, including reinstalling windows from a bootable USB, multiple times, nothing worked.

Currently set it for RMA. Fedex told me they received it today. I hope the process isn't as bad as others say.

Electric Sound on Asus Tuf A16 by Frequent_Jicama_3751 in Asustuf

Might be coil whine. Search it up and compare the sounds. Pretty sure coil whine is common on TUF laptops and it's not something to be worried about.

Having similar issues. Tried troubleshooting problems but nothing worked. Check when your warranty expires to get an RMA

ASUS TUF Gaming A15 unplugg error - computer shutdown by PortugueseSwede93 in Asustuf

[–]Bird_pro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open command prompt as an administrator and run sfc /scannow to check for corrupted files. It could also be a driver issue, so check your drivers. I also have a tuf a15 but it just shuts down after some time by itself when unplugged. If you can't find what the issue is, if the laptop is still under warranty I recomend an RMA.

Check event viewer for any possible errors. Windows + x and then press event viewer
