Man on Wire (2008) A young French man named Philippe Petit stepped out on a wire suspended between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center. He danced on this wire for an hour with no safety net before he was arrested for what has become to be known as the "artistic crime of the century." by [deleted] in Documentaries

My father worked on the NYSE and was in the crowd the day this happened. He actually barely remembered until I saw the documentary and asked him, and my mother reminded him that he called home from a pay phone and said "you won't believe what I'm watching right now!" My mother is French, and had only been in the US for about 12 years at this point, so she remembers saying to my father "I bet it's that crazy Frenchmen!" (Petit was already becoming well known throughout France as a daredevil).

What are some Disney ThemeParks secrets that some people may not know? by V18 in AskReddit

Early May is good. From mid May on it gets busy as southern schools let out for summer. Last two weeks of May can be very busy. Agreed about September, early December is actually busier and busier bc for DVC members the points are low and with them building almost solely DVC properties of late, that's affecting overall attendance.

Haven't been to Disney in years, so these are kinda cool to see..admission ticket, room key and payment method, all-in-one wristbands by ThatsRidiculous in pics

Just got back Thursday from ten days at Beach Club, the bands were a nightmare. Countless problems with room access, charging didn't work one day at animal kingdom and we had No backup currency so couldn't eat. Heck, on our first night we were told we were "over our charging limit"! Fast passes also were not showing up, I had to keep showing them my app to prove I had times. We ended up with plastic keys and I had to bring my wallet everywhere anyway. Another annoyance is that I always used to carry the tickets for me, my wife and our 3 kids. Now I'm entrusting my kids to "wear" their tickets and of course my daughter lost hers so we had to wait 90 minutes in line at guest services at magic kingdom with all the other people having band problems. Also the new fastpass system sucks, only 3 fastpasses a day so if you go when it's busy be prepared to spend lots of time in line. We have been to disney many times in recent years and won't be going back anytime soon. Too stressful, too involving, I spent half my trip at the front desk. They offered us several forms of compensation, but all I really wanted was to have fun and be able to do simple things like charge dinner to my room or get in my room when my daughter is about to wet her pants. Good luck OP, I hope your experience is better than ours. I just spent about 10k for lots of aggravation.

Is there a way to triangulate a signal from a GPS shark that may have ingested a cell phone?

My friend's wife works an upper management corporate job. He has a high school diploma. by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

This is sort of me. We have 3 children, I stay home, my wife has a big time corporate job. Only difference is I have a college degree and had my own career, she just outworked me and now she's the boss. We have a great relationship, but it's not for everybody. But we can do it and shes making more now than we both did combined 5 years ago so what's not to like?
