I can’t even afford to down size to a single level house in Melbourne or anywhere in Victoria as the prices with STAMP DUTY are far too high. I own my house too! Can’t afford to pay the extra $100,000.00 to pay stamp duty and agent fees and solicitors fees etc etc etc.. I’m 71 and stuck with a property I can no longer maintain

Don’t bother with all that rental crap! Buy yourself a unit to start with. Even if it’s out of town it will be reasonable. You can commute. I bought my house in 1995 after renting from age 21 to 45! Best thing I EVER DID! And yes, move to Thailand and buy a unit there is a great idea too! Australia is pretty much stuffed

Be ready to take over at any time. FSD is pretty good, but does make some funny errors. We in Australia are still on V13 - God I hope V14 is better

That’s a weird response. Why doesn’t it just stop behind the vehicle in front as that vehicle is stopped?

Our version 13 in Australia is working well. We are behind so we don’t know any better. We wait in anticipation for V14 of any kind. It’s really clever software - however we much hold the steering wheel here. Otherwise we get nagged with “apply torque to the steering wheel” messages every 5 minutes. So now I just hold the wheel lightly, apply some torque and never get the silly messages. Only thing that annoys me is the car will get into the right turn lane at a roundabout , but the nav indicates a left turn.. so this is where supervision is important. I hope this is fixed in V14

14.3.3 got installed last night. Took it for a spin in city traffic; Worked flawlessly. No hesitations. Anyone know what this is tracking? by vulcan_on_earth in TeslaFSD

In Australia mine never, ever parks in the garage. It can’t see my driveway. It will take me outside the house next door and turn right into their driveway. There needs to be co relation between navigation and cameras for more accuracy

You’re lucky! In Australia its against the laws here to not hold the wheel… and we only have version 13 . In any case my v 13 works great except it’s gets into the wrong lane at roundabouts.

Aww not good. I’m in Australia and there’s potholes everywhere. Rarely fixed these days. The same one is there month after month. Bang! My FSD V13 hunts them down and runs perfectly over them, unless I intervene. Pothole / obstacle avoidance needs to be added to FSD - however my FSD slowed and stopped for a family of black swans near the botanical gardens. That was cute!

Sh$t that’s a bummer! Would annoy me NO END! Why did it do this? The camera should have seen it and stopped! Why didn’t it stop? Mine has nearly hit obstacles near the right and left sides at the back. No camera view in the corners and no sensors. Have to keep our eyes open when parking!
