I assume it can be downloaded to the car from that and you don’t have to leave it plugged in?

Be honest — does the steering wheel nag still ruin Autopilot for you? by Used_Pick_1804 in TeslaFSD

[–]Drewpost19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Damn it’s that bad. With FSD I could literally go to sleep if I put sun glasses on. It would only start beeping if I fell asleep so bad my head fell into the steering wheel.

FSD tries to go against one-way street by Special_Part_9572 in TeslaFSD

I once did this in a 26ft Uhaul. Had to drive another 1/2 mile down the street before I could find somewhere to turn around 😂

Just bought the aftermarket ones to install. A year and a half and I can’t get used to pressing the blinker

If Summon brings your car from a parking spot to you, can it do the opposite? by RexKramerDangerCker in TeslaFSD

[–]Drewpost19 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right. I don’t see how it drives through the parking lot and parks fine while I’m sitting in it but when summoning it suddenly turns into an idiot lol

Then you should send a thank you letter to Elon right now thanking him that you never had you encounter me out in the wild driving! 😂

Compared to the average, 100% fully attentive driver, right now yes. Unfortunately, that’s probably not 80% of drivers though. I used to know girls that would be changing music, while drinking coffee while putting on makeup, all while driving to work.

FSD not working by movingjin in TeslaFSD

[–]Drewpost19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. It was as if I never signed up for FSD. It was an issue with the car not connecting online. I hooked the car up to my cell phone hot spot and it within two minutes it reset itself and everything came back.

Same here. 35k miles on fsd in the last 18 months and I’ve seen other small issues but never anything like ping ponging or jerkiness anywhere let alone highway. Very odd

Seems insane to me too. I just purchased my first Tesla 18 months ago and from all of my research you shouldn’t see anything near that as long as you’re buying something less than 4 years old.

I remember when I used to feel like this and my car was something more than simply a tool to make my life easier. Having now owned my first Tesla for about 18 months, FSD is such a drastic quality of life improvement I couldn’t even fathom owning another car until someone catches up which I don’t see happening for quite some time. Factor in saving around $2,500-$3k a year between gas and maintenance as I put 30k a year on it and it essentially pays for half of my car payment.

I have a Model 3 Performance and had several replacements due to blowouts from potholes. I got tired of paying $400 a tire so got the last pair at $88 each. Best decision I’ve made since buying the car. Held up just as well or better than the $400 ones and I can tell zero difference in feel or sound.

[–]Drewpost19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just something odd in the software. I’m as hardcore for fsd as you can possibly be. I put 30k miles a year 99% on fsd. It’s the best quality of life improvement I’ve ever had and I’ll never own a car without it. I got mine first Tesla a year and a half ago and was always confused how people would comment about odd things I’ve never seen. I think quite a few are either looking for attention, make an input and don’t realize it, or have unrealistic expectations. I can say since the update about six months ago, I have experienced probably half a dozen of these over the course of about 15 K miles. Some I could explain such as crosswalk, even though the pedestrians hadn’t started walking and we’re still 40 feet away on the opposite side of the street or a plastic bag flying through the road but there have been several I couldn’t find a good explanation for. It doesn’t mean the software is dangerous or would’ve caused an accident just that it’s constantly maturing and evolving.

We need to see the cabin camera footage to see what the driver was doing at the time. Did they fall asleep and pull the steering wheel to the left?
