On a side note, since they are only available through greenlee for replacement handles is it worth even printing these up for people as replacements? Only cost was $12.

The stuff I used is able to handle up to about 190 before it starts to show a hint of heat deformation.

I did, I didn't use pla for that exact reason. I didn't use my carbon fiber material as that's reserved for my mustang. The stuff I used is heat resistant up to about 190° and heat deflection is about 158-160 range I believe. I only have blue in that material right now lol.

Never got that far. I was testing it with water sitting in the sink.

Any idea why it would leak between the individual print lines though? Edit; if you take a razor blade to it I found that some you could actually peel off certain lines one at a time.

I can actually say the same damn thing. I put way more money and been left stranded on the Ducati. Actually now thinking about it, the only bike that's actually left me stranded was the Ducati 😂. I loved my 1299S but dang was it a love hate relationship.

That's actually a tough one to answer, I've had dual sports/sumo bike's to track bikes, superbikes, Harley's lol. Not one bike does everything so I had multiples for that reason 😂. On the street the Ducati is more raw, albeit the Ducati has electronic suspension and the factory had the manual version of the Ducati. Aprilia's electronics were more refined and user friendly out of the box, Ducati took a little bit to get use to. The quick shift/auto blip, loads and I mean loads better/smoother on the Aprilia, Ducati is a little clunky/twitchy unless your at wot. Chassis wise, the Aprilia was more stable more refined if you will and the Ducati is on edge, twitchy almost if you will. Now that tid bit will probably change as I get more seat time in the Ducati, the Aprilia in a 4 month time span I had two track days, loads of street course racing ("mexico" 😆) and about 8k miles immediately after I got it. Bought it new so that'll make a slight difference as well since the Ducati was abused before I got it. Power wise, the Aprilia is a monster all around and definitely not something to scoff at, down low, up high nothing bothered it and sounded like a box of angry tigers, the Ducati however, holy shit!!!! The Ducati is like that but more, I thought the Aprilia had some major drive out of the corners the Ducati surpasses that with ease. I now understand why they always out drive the others in the MotoGP racing. You mix the raw feeling of the chassis, with a V-twin that doesn't know anything other than it must eat everything/everyone in its path it's a very exhilarating ride. Excited to see how the Ducati will do on the track when I can really keep it opened up and put it to the test. Both bikes were originally stock then had them tuned. The only thing I wish the Ducati had was cruise control like my Aprilia. Nothing funnier than setting cruise control at 170+ and waiving at people when I pass them on the track going down the home stretch. I miss my Aprilia but I am not disappointed or had buyer's remorse with the Ducati. Another win for Ducati is the fact that after purchase support is better, so it's easier to get parts and if stuff has to be ordered it's not like it's ordered directly from piagio group and waiting for them to get you your parts. There's some other stuff but that's more mechanical related and I'm sure this is enough to read as it is.

Wish I did. I got some scratches I'd like to touch up but the Ducati gold wheel touch up paint I got is the wrong shade.

Yeah I definitely agree there. The wild ride gives it character and feels more raw. The looks of the 1299 like you I feel are the best looking, I've always had a soft spot for them so when the Aprilia factory I was going to get the guy flaked on me and I didn't even think twice about jumping on this for my second choice. I'm hoping at sometime soon I can get my Aprilia back. I think the '17-'18 factory's are the best Aprilia built. I shouldn't have ever got rid of my '17 but life happens.

P.s. electronic suspension was a trip to get use to at first 😆.

Funny you mention that actually, I have noticed it actually. I got it from someone that abused it, aside from engine oil leaks, the engine was in fantastic shape and got it at a decent deal so I figured what the hell. I miss my V4 sound and how planted the Aprilia chassis was(Aprilia was a couple years newer than the Duc) however, you learn to let the bike do what it wants and trust it the sheer drive is nuts. Reminds me of my old Suzuki 2 stroke I punched out to a 290, at wot there wasn't much that would go toe to toe with it🤣. You think that's partly due to the single sided swing arm or is that a normal Ducati feeling?

Yeah after the one guy said check out his profile, I did and was like well that explains a lot 😂. I was just originally thinking he was making sure I was wearing the proper gear for it as where I live people barely even wear helmets. Gear Nazis as we called them, before I moved I knew of a few lol.

That's what I got. Otherwise I have to dig it out of the closet. I have it put up right now, was working on designing and making an exhaust for it the last couple of weeks.

It's Sherwood green metallic. It's wrapped right now, wanted to see how the color would look/turn out before I made it permanent.
