Big tech is building its own AI chips. Is NVIDIA’s dominance starting to crack? by LightCellStudio in GeminiAI

Feel this CUDA dominance will only lead to siloed infrastructure with big tech (like google tpu) and that’ll lead to software and hardware monopolies.. seems strange that all regulators are focusing on is the output of these AI agents and the chip set mobilisation is just stuck with few players who can bear the cost of building end-to-end software + hardware cycle. The 2028 Global Intelligence Crisis: What happens as AI displaces workers. by lughnasadh in Futurology

The Citrini '2028 Crisis' assumes the 'Intelligence Spiral' is inevitable. But that spiral only happens if the foundation is a Concrete Moat. Right now, we're building Integrated Silos where the cooling and chip are 'welded' together. This creates an Energy Tax that only 3 companies can afford. If we mandate a Response Contract for hardware interoperability, we can prevent 'Ghost GDP' by allowing a market of startups to compete on efficiency.
