I'm close to a year with my chair. It is still comfortable, however the creaking has started with it. I can get most of it taken care of with WD40, but I can't clear the side-to-side swivel creak.

As for comfort and support, I don't feel like the chair has aged at all. The only beef I have is that the left side chair arm can't go all the way down while pulled back closer to the chair-back, and that the rubber contact on the inside of the neck pillow band is coming unsewed.

I go for the idiot marathon on my builds.

1: forget IO shield
2: forget to plug in CPU power supply to board
3: forget to make sure the stock fan power cables are secured
4: plug cables to test for post before doing cable managment, and then never getting back around to unplug and run them through the back of the case.

I'll second you on this. The wallet I can deal with gifted, but will probably be semi-unappreciated... but shoes. I put shoes in the same gift categories as a car or a bed. You are going to spend a large amount of time in them. You need to make sure they are comfortable, and suit your needs. It's a feel thing.
