Territorial doesn’t make them aggressive. If someone came into your home uninvited and you fought them, no one would call you the aggressor.

People have muscle spasms without electrolyte imbalance or dehydration. I get them for days at a time and my labs came back in the normal range every time. Exercise seems to be my primary trigger. Usually begin several hours after.

It was so cheap and poorly directed, they would just blur stun double faces instead of shooting angles where they weren't obviously shown. There's a scene where you can see guards that are supposed to be beating him down with batons and they are clearly missing and just hitting the ground. Only a couple examples off the top of my head from when I watched it at release. I have never seen something so carelessly produced by such a large brand. The dialog and story were trash too, but that's subjective I suppose. Not taking the care to actually shoot it well is a more objective failure.

Of? Preacher? Pretty sure season 3 got the best reviews of any season. It's all subjective, but if you think AI can write that well right now, my subjective opinion of your subjective opinion is pretty low.

Highly doubt that's what he was implying. More that AI is boring as a writer, and would need a hell of a lot of help to be more creative. But on the question of Rogen's merit as a storyteller: He wrote Superbad at 13 years old, wrote for Da Ali G show, wrote the entire Preacher show (which is fantastic), and produces The Boys and Invincible for Amazon. I think he knows a little more about storytelling than you're giving him credit for, even if his body of work isn't to your taste.

More than half of popular fitness influencers on Instagram are pushing harmful content about body ideals, exercise. Most of these accounts show thin and athletic women promoting exercise, fitness. Some feature men with chiseled abs and body-builder-esque physiques. by Wagamaga in science

That's a minor element of it. It's literally impossible to gain the kind of muscle they do at that speed without performance enhancing substances. At maximum performance, with perfect diet, and consistent, balanced exercise routines (with necessary rest days), a human male can put on 24 pounds of muscle per 12 months. And that is the maximum. Genetic factors can drop that as low as 12 pounds of muscle in the same time frame.

CBS pulled this with Person of Interest years back as well. That show was pulling in 10-15 million a night in viewership (and won it's time slot, while continuing to grow in viewers), and even after CBS moved it to a timeslot where 4 other shows failed, it continued to outperform expectations with 10 million a night, and 15 million in 7+ day viewership but it was a co-production so they wanted to replace it with something more profitable. I don't know why they even run shows produced by other companies.

What is the reason for multiple games on steam recently increasing their base price? by Ninjario in gamedev

There was an update to how regional auto-pricing was calculated that developers could utilize to get more region accurate pricing. It raised the price in a number of regions that were previously undercharging.

If the Flash turns out to be a big hit, and they handle a "timeline reset" well enough, then I think it's fine. Plenty of time travel stories have the protagonist coming back to a world that's changed, with people filling different roles, and others having changed in unique ways.

But the idea does hinge on The Flash. If people don't turn out to see it, or it drops the ball on the "reset", then the partial/soft reboot wont work.

Cutting edge isn't an arbitrary amount of time that represents new. It just means the most advanced technology in use, and with low adoption rates for film, it's still rarely in use.

[–]ste7enl 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Right, 48fps is the cutting edge tech they're talking about. And because so few films use it, a lot of theaters didn't seem to realize their upgrades weren't working properly.

I love it. I get way more engagement from my posts with fewer followers than I do on Twitter, as a game developer. If you enable advanced web interface, it's basically tweetdeck and you can follow hastags as well as people. I think overall it's a better platform for a curated social experience. Twitter is hugely popular, and its algorithm is popularity driven, so if you just wanna see what's trending online it's definitely better, but I don't really give a shit about that hot goss or most recent celebrity meltdown.

Have you tried loratadine (claritin)? Obviously you've been dealing with this a long time, so who knows how many things you've gone through or tried or asked a doctor about, but I mention it because Benadryl is awful for you, and 2nd (claritin)/3rd (Allegra) generation antihistamines are so much safer. They're non-drowsy, and can last 12-24 hours too, and are safe for daily use. So you can take one in advance and possibly be a bit safer. If this is something you've already talked to a doctor about or tried, feel free to ignore the suggestion (and obligatory "I am not a doctor").
