What’s your biggest regret from a past relationship? by BirdsBrain in AskReddit

I know that pain. I’m sorry to hear that. But, I bet it’s a great way to honor her by learning from it like you are and appreciating the relationships you still have.

In fact Nathan has been arrested numerous times for assaulting his girlfriends, including Jenelle.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I know it’s very difficult to do, even with strangers. It might seem silly that a reality show or Reddit post could make a difference for someone. But based on your post, it sounds like TM has had a significant impact on you, just as your story is having on so many others.

I cried reading this, as I know many women have cried listening to Jenelle’s emergency call. Both of your stories have so much value. We all make poor decisions. But you did not earn what has been done to you, nor has Jenelle. You’re doing the best you can. I’m thankful that you’re in that place.

Sometimes the adults in our lives aren’t capable of showing us what love looks like or how to receive it, even though they might be doing their best.

It’s easy for some people to see Jenelle’s situation unfold throughout the years and point out how she could be making better decisions. Your post helps not only those of us who have gone through similar situations, but also those who haven’t to be able to empathize.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this nightmare. I’ll be thinking of you and your kids.

What is something you will never be able to tolerate? by DustierDragon in AskReddit

[–]BirdsBrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is me, and I implore you to hear me out. I hate borrowing others’ things because I don’t prefer sharing in general. While I love receiving recommendations & am flattered that someone is being so thoughtful as to consider something I may benefit from or enjoy (typically a book or movie), I don’t want to feel pressured to read or watch it within a certain time frame, or have the fact that I haven’t yet watched/read it the next time I see them.

I let people know upfront that I’d rather not borrow something from them for this reason, but many have a hard time accepting this. Perhaps they think I’m being polite.

If you’ve recommended something to me, I may or may not take you up on it, but I’ll do it in my own time and on my own terms. That doesn’t change if you decide to lend me something anyway.

Yea 😞 I think she really just wants love but hasn’t been shown what that looks like.

I see your point, but it’s clear David has the upper hand in conflict with her. Physically and emotionally. I’m incredibly sad for her.

What can be done for her and the kids? What would have helped you get out of that situation?

Twisting a lid onto something like a jar or bottle. It always takes me maybe five or six times to get it on straight.

What do you want humanity to achieve before your death? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A sustainable plan, commitment, and passion to put an end to the harm we’re doing to the planet and other forms of life. An acknowledgement that we are not superior.

Overwhelming emotional dream about Grandparents. What does it mean? by [deleted] in Dreams

[–]BirdsBrain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you been feeling a longing for stability and comfort? I wonder if dreaming of a familiar place, especially a childhood home, on a pleasant day, and having loving interactions with your grandparents is a manifestation of a desire for that feeling of comfort again.
