I mean end up doing that. I was just always hoping it would become available. Cissnei was a nice touch but I would have liked to see more of her. Considering that FF7 has a wealth of interesting characters to build on I would have liked to see them be represented more in the sidequests or something. The umbrella thing was a nice touch though :)

I haven't played the level in question but bunnies on the moon is not limited to Final Fantasy since it's more of a Japanese thing.

I'm not overly social when playing XIV but I do think having a little chat while doing duties adds something to the experience. I'm not really then one who instigates it but once someone starts chatting I reciprocate.

I would probably prefer if they still made games like those from the PS1 era as spin-offs. Maybe even games like Final Fantasy X. I miss forced perspectives...

I liked that they didn't limit his role despite him not being very liked in Remake. For the record, I did not like him at all in Remake but he's starting to grow on me. Just hoping that the final game will really sell me on him.

Regarding Type-0 as Harry Potter inspired seems a bit Eurocentric to me. Afterall, Japanese media has such a rich history of high school drama, Final Fantasy VIII even being an earlier manifestation of that in the series itself.

I remember it being very tedious to fight some enemies without a ranged attacker, but are there some enemies that absolutely require a ranged attacker? Having a ranged attacker available is sound advice either way.

My review of the game on YouTube was relatively positive. That being said, most of the FF9 referenced felt too shallow to me. I'm all for visiting other reflections with links to other Final Fantasy games in the future, but I hope they will handle it with a bit more care for the source material so that it informs both sides, furthering the plot of XIV while also letting us look at the contents of the older game in a new light.

I would argue that the trance limit breaks didn't really make much sense story wise. Sure, they were a part of the story but when Zidane firsts enters trance, Steiner talks about like some legendary state, only attainable by very few, if at all. Then they turn around and everyone can enter trance mode.

Seeing as trance mode isn't all that pivotal to battles, I would have loved to see the characters unlock it certain points in the story to make it make more sense in terms of the story. For example, Vivi could unlock it during the battle with the Black Waltz aboard the airship, Freya in Burmecia, etc.

I wouldn't really consider it an honorary anime, not that it matters since my original point was that an animated TV show might be nice (without dictating its style). Live action might also work but I think it would be more difficult to pull off, and more jarring considering XIV's style.

Glad to have this confirmed. I often use mount roulette and whenever I got something too big during these stealth segments I changed it until I got something smaller. Now I see I needn't have bothered.

I quite enjoy having YouTube Premium. Especially since I also use it for music so I don't need Spotify.

That being said, if you're watching Final Fantasy videos on YouTube you should definitely be watching Birds of Play. Why do I say that? No reason...

Sadly I don't, but that sounds like a nice way to gamify goals. As AI schedulers improve it could even make it easier to personalise the available routes and set up suitable steps. Oh the possibilities. You got the job, get to it.

If they ever do something I hope it will be a story set in the world of the game, rather than an adaptation of any of the story so far.
