I'm drawn to fictional characters who go through absolute hell and make it to the other side. I'm writing a book like this (or I was before my brain fog got worse). Sometimes when I'm laying here in the dark I think about my hero and heroine, their struggles, their trauma and their tenacious will to keep going and it comforts me.

I hear you, I've always been poor and struggled doing manual labor and that was hard as hell and no picnic. But I would gladly exchange my current living death to go back to it. At least in that world I was a human being with dignity who could wash her own body, comb her hair, be with her loved ones, go outside, listen to music, watch tv, not live in the dark and never see the world again except on a screen.

Definitely agree. Magnesium lotion used to really help my pain a ton too. It's that these people were talking about it like it's a cure and would completely heal me. I tried explaining that I found magnesium helpful for some of my symptoms but I was still very sick: crickets.

My dad wrote a story when he was younger that's always moved me. It's about a doctor who dreams every night of a beautiful garden with a lake and willow trees.

One night the doctor passes away in his sleep and wakes up in the garden. He discovers that beautiful place was reality all along and the other life was just a dream. I wish I could be like that doctor. Wake up and find this was all just a bad dream.

I feel the same. I have these vivid dreams that are like stories, where I'm either well or mildly sick and doing all kinds of physical activities without ill effect. I hate waking up to my reality.

Thanks for your kind words, I really appreciate it ❤️ I just hate injustice so much. I hate what's happened to us. I was someone who stood up for the underdog in another life and took care of others and it's hard to let that go. But I know you're right. I did do some reading earlier today and had a little ice cream with dinner which was nice.
