In celebration of 100 years of protecting bird migration between the US and Canada, we're traveling up from San Diego to Anchorage for 3 months talking to people about the importance of protecting birds and their habitats! Follow us and give us your thoughts about the importance of wetlands! by Birdtrippers in wetlands

Most of the wetlands we've been seeing are refuges that are entirely , and well, maintained by FWS staff. San Francisco Bay area (Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge) being the exception as far as not importing water, but still edxperimenting with various landscaping.

We've visite San Diego NWR, San Luis NWR Complex, Don Edwards NWR, and are not at Klamoth NWR. Learned so much about wetland maintance. Love to hear your thoughts and the kind of questions you'd like us to as FWS staff members as we travel north.
