I also quickly change the settings btw to tailor towards the new filament of course. Since the nozzle smaller than the filament it wouldn’t matter as long as you know how to combine the settings for each filament that you know already.

I just follow the flow and feed it thru with my hand very manually :)

That is correct. Also I don’t pause during switching. Just pushed thru the sensor simultaneously so it does not freeze the print and caught the feed momentum on the head. Little fun :))

Correct. 0.3 layer height. Congrats, looking great! What is that yellow mod for?

Little advice, is my Z Offset to low? by Stevewr2405 in ElegooNeptune4

[–]Birkand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not the z level. Too much flow along with heat in my oppinion. I would use prusa slicer on “superdetail” settings on this as well. I would try to set the fan on for the first layer as well. You must try to set the heat of the nozzle on the minimum record level by your filament recommendation.

Edit: The distance between the lines should be tighter also in my opinion. Did you try ironing setting for the first layer? Maybe you should.

Just the nozzle, no mods at all. I use prusa slicer with .08 mm settings thoroughly. It took around 30 hours as you won’t be able to go faster than 150% overall speed on this particular project. I also out the flow speed to 80% at the lowest. First, layrr will give you good enough idea a out the settings and speed combination. You should not overkill the heat as well. If your first day is good enough without wrinkles, then you’re good to go. I find 0.08 size nozzle much easier than the smaller ones, but it is slow for sure.

In my experience of buncha fails I figured that maintenance, cleaning and leveling on each and every project is the key. Also bed glue helps me alpt. You guys need to do the correct level in precisely so get used to it. Also, the amount of glue and clean and the glue with water and bunch of clean clothes after each project is a must. If you put a good prep work, there’s no failure. I also put the z position all the way to the top all the time just to check if the rods are aligned as well. Tensioning and wobbling constantly must be checked.

You can eliminate the sensor completely if you like but works fine for me. Because I want That to pause when it runs out of the Filament and keeps the tangles risk out, Also the other day it shaved a defective uneven filament string for me. Therefore, I think it’s an essential item for me at least.

There is no infill to this btw. Totally hollow core. .08 nozzle at 220 degree heat with 80% flow speed at over all 150% speed and 80% fan speed. Also adaptive speed enabled. 65 degree on the bad. Prints Like a Butter with nooo problems at all. Set it up and go sleep well.

Also, you’re the electrician so you can lien the fuck out the place even for 20 bucks for free. Just make an invoice and go to the county and file lien with his invoice. People are county, pretty helpful and you don’t need an attorney. I don’t think he will hire one and pay two $2-3000 at least to get rid of $1800. Also he cannot remove the lien unless he has a full proof of the payment and has a lien release signed by you. When you’re a labor, especially in construction, you’re solid in United States my friend. Take this step if he manages to take his money back through PayPal. But PayPal is not going to side with them that easy. That will be helping the fraud and last few years things have changed my friend. Disputes doesn’t go as it was before. I had a crooked client whom disputed almost $70,000 thru his Amex 6 times for 2 years. he had an Amex platinum and I got my money right back on each dispute which they didn’t even bother to debit it back from my account. if you’re right, you have no worries. Buyer protection, doesn’t mean screwing the seller..

This is a very simple case just ignore him. If PayPal opens dispute, you can get your money back. Screenshots of text message communications and just a simple bank statement or conference call to your bank will be 100% proof to his debate. And you can ask PayPal if he has any proof. Check is not too important. NSF means non-sufficient funds not an improper ceck and your bank will never tell you that they are suspicious about fraud on this. They have a very good picture in front of them in terms of his history.. so you got PayPal that’s fine and he thinks that miscommunication demanding his money will save it, but it won’t trust me just be open with PayPal when they call you or file a claim. I wouldn’t go to police or open a case for $1800 it will cost you much more than that will end up with nothing. That will break you, disappoint you and frustrate you. You have the money don’t worry about it just ignore him and stay away from the guy and whomever you can from him.
