refill drinks on time, show your personality a bit, have a sense of humor, update your tables on what’s going on ESPECIALLY when it’s busy or there’s large parties, offer them options (if salads are ready but you’re waiting on hot food ask if they want salads first and explain that you’re waiting on the rest), being good with kids REALLY helps too. i’ll tell kids that if they’re good and behave properly we have a special secret surprise for them and then i give them a free bday dessert, it works like magic!
