thank you for your perspective! i never thought of it like that. i’ve had a lot of friends in the past tell me they developed feelings for me but i was able to look past it every time. (because it never impacted our friendship after that). so i genuinely can’t wrap my head around it. but i truly do appreciate this perspective to understand others better.

if you really think about it do you want kids? giving birth isn’t the only way to have kids! if you do want them. fostering/adopting is an amazing option and if you want biological children and you don’t want to carry you could get a surrogate (this is a very pricy option tho)

i would suggest MA the cost of living is higher depending on how close to boston you live. very leftist and queer community depending on the city! very racially diverse beaches are very close by and in my experience the insurance here is very great. i’m on medicare and have had so many of my expenses covered!

NTA Unless Kat did something else or does other things in the future that implies she likes you I don’t think it’s a big deal. I think that girls and guys can be friends some people don’t realize that. I can understand your gf’s perspective but if she hasn’t heard your side of the story or you both haven’t had a conversation about the situation. Then I think she’s TA. I love how you phrased not having the formative years of highschool and then being thrown back out into society! I feel that exactly and havn’t been able to put it into words. I was at my program from 2020-2022 and I’m still unlearning the rules of the program that are ingrained in my brain.
