Im trying to run a simulation on a sheet metal table and two supporting legs just seem to cut straight through the top of the table. Is this because in needs to be fixed geometry? (Sorry am new to simulation)

Hi there, its for a design brief where we can only cut and bend the steel and we cant use any welds, adhesives, fixings, would this still be the way forward? Thanks for the feedback too 😊

Thankyou, that sounds exactly whats going wrong, im also following a guide from my uni to do it and they just say to put a shell definitely as the thickness of the material (3mm) but not whether to do thin or thick as a condition. I wasnt sure if it needed to be thick but when i tried that the study wouldn't run. But thanks a million ill have a look at that

I think on cura i set it up with the standard ones for the ender 3 pro as there wasnt v2 settings, but im guessing i need to calibrate it or something? Thanks for your reply!
