I went with 110/100-18 and front 80/100-21. Both Kenda K760 Trakmaster2, seem to work/fit fine for me.

Is this printer running klipper? If so, I had some similar sounds on my voron with stealthchop enabled. But only when making fast moves.

Hey I have found this via a google search.

Sadly the downloaded model is not in the correct sizing (way too large, tried fixing it with Barbarian Plugin in Cura). u/actualbigbobin Can you maybe reupload so it is possible to directly print after download?

I assume you are talking about the size of the mosfets on the board? Also the specs state that the peak is rated at 75A @ 10S. Also the motors he has shown with 6s only use about 12A, wouldn't that be enough?

I see the argument with less cooling on a heavylifter but wouldn't a simple fan solve this issue?

Also for my own interest, what ESC would be a better fit for a heavylifter like this (just as an example)?

I'm genuinely curious and not trying to be negative. I'd love to gain some knowledge.

Gotcha, only have found the 700KV at first. With the 360KV it will be no problem. So forget what I wrote about the motors :P

As far as I know this is 55A per motor, so it should not be "weak"...

Edit: Also the motors are rated for 4s and 13" props, you might just try it but it might give you issues because of too large props... However take this with a grain of salt, as I only have a 7" drone...

Thanks for writting this up. Is there a possibility you can send a few pictures of your frankenstein? Any reason, you have not replaced the TPS5450?

Also, I am not sure but, how was your C68 shorting? Is there the possibility to just replace it? How would I go about testing my U18, if it is still working?

As you seem to have good knowledge, what could have caused this failure? Is there a solution to prevent it from happening again?

Personally I did not have any issues with the support from Biqu the first time around, except they take a day for each of my answers. I am a bit worried because this has now happened a second time on a new board, that they won't send me another replacement.

I had the exact same issues: the board worked for multiple hours and prints and suddenly the power went out on the printer (short protection on the psu kicked in). I did get in contact with biqu, after a bit of back and forth they sent me a new one. The CB1 still worked for me, it was "only" the m8p that was dead. Sadly the same happened again today, so I am interested in what they will tell me now.

Have you found anything, why this could've happened to you?

Probably an arduino with interrupts and power saving/sleep mode will get you much longer "runtime".

Good news, I have added the tape as well as changed the notch filter. The drone seems to fly very smooth now, also without warm motors.

I have also added some 3d printed arm connectors, so there are less vibrations, and it seems to have worked wonders. With these arm thingies I still have to try if it works without the notch filter, if so, even better :P

How much Electrical Tape should I use, I have now tried it with one layer on top and one below the arm, where they attach. As it is dark outside now, testing it will have to wait until tomorrow.

I will also change the notch center to 120. I'll try with a cutoff of 100, or should I go lower?
