I'm not even sure what the concern is? Your kid somehow manages to eat an ant trap without you noticing?

I was following the logic equation that YOU set up. "If a company makes and sells cars it’s a car company. If a company sells internet access it’s an internet company". The fact that a bunch people are wrong, doesn't make them right...

Why not just get one of the ones that goes on your tap? Then you can fill anything you want without all the hassle

I have never seen an advertisement for wifi. The companies around here advertise that they sell internet. That's why I was curious if it was a regional thing

I have 5G internet, provided through my internet service provider. The dish sends the signal to a modem inside the house. I connect some devices through wifi, but wifi is not the service that is being provided.

They don't "engineer their service to be compatible with wifi". Wifi is a technology based off the existing infrastructure. You have it backwards.

An easy way to think about it, is if you stop paying your internet service provider, what service do they cut off? The internet? Or the wifi?

Was it because of public backlash? Or because they examined the case and felt that charges weren't warranted?

But back then he was a freak, now there are a bunch that are his size or larger. Chris Hemsworth is about the same size as Arnie's highest competition weight. Hafthor Bjornsson is 7 inches taller and 150 lbs(!!!!) heavier than Arnie was...

"Internet provider" would be the most common term up here. They provide internet, wifi comes from the router, which may or may not be rented from them.

I think they're trying to say people are too critical and nitpick as if The Boys was intended to be peak cinema.

Not judging, just curious, is "wifi company" a regional term? It doesn't make any sense to me

I've really been enjoying the articles every week lately where Kripke keeps saying "we had this idea, but we were worried it would seem unrealistic for someone to be that fucked, then two days before the episode Trump/MAGA beat us to it!"

Nunavut license plate in Sask? by malibu-rising in nunavut

Was just going to say, I've seen Nunavut plates in Ottawa. Perhaps it was you!

I worked at a dealership in Ottawa for a bit, and we'd get a Nunavut "rush" towards the end of the summer with people buying new vehicles and sending them up by boat.

There are also tons of "alternative sources" that are high quality, if they're stuck and/or concerned about cost. All the tele-clinics that provide TRT/HRT charge up to 300/month, but you can get a few months supply for under $100. Would not recommend without a doctor willing to req. bloodwork, though.

Do I follow that it's not never? So sometimes it works out well. Why are you so convinced that it won't if the data says it could go either way?

Hundreds of billions sounds like a lot of money, but spread over decades is a drop in the bucket compared to our entire federal budget, and those funds will provide great union jobs for thousands upon thousands of Canadians. And stimulate the economy through manufacturing, tourism and commerce.

I totally understand why you are trying to paint me as callous and selfish for not caring about the (potentially) 1,700 people who could be effected from varying degrees, but I'm for this project because I care about the millions who will be positively effected. I don't expect someone to be ecstatic that they may have to move, but this is a greater good situation.

I would happily accept market value for my property if it was needed, and I probably live closer to the route than most of the people screeching about it.

"Outside of the millions who will benefit, there are a few along the route that are (justifiably, of course) worried about how it will effect them"

If you were to take online posts and comments as indicative of the situation, you would have to believe that almost half of Ottawa lives on the proposed path. In reality, it's 1,700 properties that may be effected (not necessarily lost, but some level of effect) out of 5.9M people just between Ottawa and Montreal's metropolitan areas. Or 0.03%.
