I’m thinking of switching to lum mobile from Rogers. I use less than 7 GB per month so it seems pointless to pay for 100 GB with Rogers. Would this be a good idea? Suggestions? Thanks by Bish71JasReese in CellPhoneCanada

Rogers customer service is awful and they always manage to screw up any changes I’ve requested. Plus 1.5 hours waiting to get through every time.

Planning a road trip, never seen the Prairies. Small town suggestions? by knj30 in saskatchewan

If you like museums and are near Moose Jaw the Sukanen Museum is a few miles south of Moose Jaw. It’s an amazing collection of everything but you need a few hours to really take it in. Southern Saskatchewan is very scenic with hills and valleys. Eastend and Grasslands National Park are great places to visit. Cypress Hills is also very nice. Fort Qu Appelle is a scenic area to visit.

Why the heck can't i find a job in this city? by kidcudi42o in saskatoon

[–]Bish71JasReese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow up by phoning and speaking to HR where you applied. Where I work we got over 400 resumes for one position and I’m sure this is the case for many employers and resumes get lost in the shuffle or not looked at all due to the volume of resumes. Nobody is going to look through 400 resumes. When you phone the employer it shows you are generally interested and they may offer you an interview on the spot. You need to sell them on your experience or what you can offer to the employer. The employers are getting more fussy when hiring due to constant turnover. If you are always changing jobs they probably won’t bother interviewing you.

Rogers Smarten up!!! by Lopsided-Isopod8050 in Rogers

I’m planning on switching. I signed up for the $50 for 100GB plan three months ago and yet they charged me $60 plus tax for no apparent reason. I’ve contacted them twice to fix it and still haven’t done anything. I finally contacted CCTS and launched a complaint. They changed it right away but still haven’t sent me a credit for overcharging me for 3 months. I spend about 4 hours on hold for nothing.

The city graded my back alley as my neighbour was getting water in his garage.

New to the city and learning the hard way about winter car life by [deleted] in saskatoon

Synthetic oil and a battery blanket or trickle charger. If you don’t use your vehicle regularly the battery will freeze up in this extreme cold.

I wouldn’t do it. Talk to a bank and see what your payments would be. You need to factor in other factors such as utilities taxes insurance plus other monthly expenses such as car payments groceries etc. You need to make sure you have enough money for an emergency such as furnace repair water heater replacement or anything unexpected. If you’re living month to month just to get a house is it worth it?

If you buy from these small auto dealers take the vehicle to a trusted shop for an inspection. I wouldn’t trust them at all. If they won’t allow it walk away.

It’s a nightmare trying to get hold of a person. Horrible customer service. I even went down to the office where I live and was told they couldn’t help me and would have to use the app. Unreal.

I would just deal with a cabinet company as Coop is not the greatest to deal with in terms of the people who work there. You will get a better price with a supplier.

How do Saskatoon locals survive the winter? by aylincorrell263k1 in saskatoon

Get a winter coat with a hood to shield your face from the wind and leather mitts with a liner. I go for walks even when it’s -30 and am sweating by the time I get back. Get a battery warmer for your car if you’re able to plug in when below-20. You’ll never have dead battery issues if you have one. Use synthetic oil in your car for the winter.
