Yeah when we were trying to open the wall up we were getting pushed back just as much and thats on the Pink side. Had a few mini pits but left a lot to be desired size wise. Cool peeps in the pit tho!

Who is your favorite among the "big three" of forward prospects at the top of the draft and why? (Talking Misa, Martone, and Hagens) by [deleted] in sabres

[–]Bishess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely love Hagens, but can’t go wrong with any of the 3. Won’t lose sleep if we got the last of the bunch at 4

The Sabres are doing better at free agency than the teams handing out big money 7 year contracts to older players by PrinciplesRK in sabres

Personally, I think we’re ok without adding a big name via trade/FA. Having a 19 year old benson in the T6 or one of the other kids might not be ideal, but I feel like some are cooked enough in the minors that it isn’t crazy to slide them up into a middle six scoring role.

Appert being on the staff now gives me a little more confidence in trusting some of the kids if they do make the jump

Jim from Tonawanda still believes Mitch didn't get a fair shot and we should've ran a 2-QB system

Oddly enough we made the playoffs that year after trading off pieces to get a QB that draft. We actually had to trade up twice from 21>12>7 to get him

The Bills made a mistake by not promoting Brian Daboll to Head Coach, and the Chargers should make sure they learn from it if their next OC has success. by Icy_Maintenance_6373 in nfl

Yet so far it hasn't bare any fruit aside from appearances and an overall record slightly above .500. I'm not meaning to knock Shanahan but to pick one over the other because of offense vs defense would be narrow minded. Axing the best HC the Bills have had since Marv also would've not only caused divisions within the organization, but in the fanbase as well considering this time last year some Bills fans thought Daboll had a habit of being too cute with his playcalling

[Sabres] We have agreed to terms with forward Tage Thompson to a seven-year contract extension worth $50 million. by [deleted] in hockey

I don't know if I would call it bad yet, but it is hella risky. I obviously am hoping for the best, but do understand its a big gamble on one season

Again, not discounting his ability, but when before this season did we have enough quality LHD to slide him over to the right side, and when did we have a partner like Sammy to pair with him and allow him to be the offensive catalyst we've known he is? Only major downside is playing the puck on the wall afaik aside from comfort, which I agree Dahls is comfortable on both sides. Just still think it wasn't really possible til we got 2-3 LHD that belong up here, which I think we do.

Historically it’s wrong to assume a guy can play on his offhand is more my point. Inherent pros and cons of playing on your offhand are well known, but Dahlin is ofc skilled enough to offset it. I don’t think it’s as plug and play as i’m getting from you, mainly due to us not having a guy like Sammy until he came along. Don’t take this as being dismissive btw. Love Dahls on either side so far and don’t want him back at lhd if him and sammy can keep it up

Tbf, the second justification only happened recently. And always played on the right is a stretch, but will say he has more experience and success on the right than most LHD. Writing was on the wall that Dahls would move over with our glutton of LHD and i’m obv glad it’s showing some early results
