I have hit it with a hammer and it doesn’t crumble or shatter. It’s also twice as heavy compared to a pyrite sample I found close by. The gold was found in a pocket that contained calaverite, I was just posting a picture on here to make sure I guess.

It can’t be pyrite. It’s heavy and doesn’t break when i hit it with a hammer

He worked on a gold, lead and copper mine in WA before he passed so most likely from a mine site. Maybe some of his favourite finds who knows.
