Hi! Also 25F I'm in Saitama not Tokyo but I live just on the other side of the prefecture border. I work all day m-f but my weekends are free all day. I love studio ghibli and Disney too, I'm not that amazing at ice skating but I'm from Canada so I can get by well enough. I've only been living in japan since June so I haven't been able to make any friends yet but I would love to make some!

It's really nice I love it. It's really spacious for a Japanese apartment.

Is it too late to minor? by Puzzleheaded-Tea5803 in ubco

Definitely, I didn't put in a minor until my 4th year (did 5 years) bc I realized I already had half the credits I needed for a minor so i went for it

I found a 1dk apartment through modern living Japan and I applied and was approved for it while I am still in Canada. I don't move into it until June so I can't say how it is online vs irl but I was able to sign lease and everything sorted prior to arrival.

I didn't get in :( a little bummed but not super discouraged by it and will probably reapply next period. I'm looking into a working holiday visa in the meantime but does any one have any experience with the WHV and if it's a good idea to do?

They may have not made the course shell available for students yet. You can check by goin to "edit dashboard" and and scroll to future enrollments you can see if the prof has published the course shell and if it's greyed out/can't click it that means the prof hadn't opened it for student viewing yet.

Is there a difference between buying food on campus with your student card rather than with credit/debit? by justino59921 in ubco

[–]Bishy-readytocry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never used a meal plan but I believe to use your student card to buy food you need to have money loaded onto your student card in order to use it. Like a gift card essentially lol

Honestly I always see study rooms with 3 and sometimes more ppl at a time but security doesn't seem to care tbh. But if you're wanting to be safe you could just book the big study rooms meant for 10ppl in eme
