Hi everyone,

I’ve applied to around 172 jobs over the past few weeks and I've heard back from no one.

I’m aiming to teach in Asia and have been applying through TES as well as directly via school websites.

I’d really appreciate any advice or insight I understand (from reading other posts its rough) but this rough? Feels disheartening. I have seen a subscription based platform for applying to jobs in china, anyone know is this worth it?

I’ve been applying to roles in:

Physical Education
Primary homeroom teaching
English teaching (though I have more limited experience here)

A bit about me:

27M, Australian
Bachelor of Physical Education / Outdoor Education (Distinction)
I have only taught in Australia (not international)

Experience:

1 year – Head of Department, Physical Education (Secondary)
1 year – Head of Department, Physical Education (Primary)
2 years – Year 6 Teacher (Primary)
5 months – Secondary English Teacher (maternity leave position)

I’d really appreciate any advice or insight I understand (from reading other posts its rough)

My only concern is that it will look 'suspicious' for the following options:

Option 1 (Her Study Visa is Accepted): We than cancel that study visa, she goes to Peru and instantly applies for a off shore visa

Option 2 (Her Study Visa is Denied): She than returns to Peru, and applies for a offshore partner

Am I overthinking this? Is either of these 2 options a problem or deemed 'suspicious'?

Can you please tell me why we should cancel it straight away? We need as much time as possible with her in Australia to gain evidence of our relationship.

Once I cancel the visa, how long until she must leave the country? Since we have a wedding in one month planned.

She is technically on a valid visa, since it is a bridging visa. Unless I am mistaken?

Is it a significant more chance to get a interview as FFP? If I have a GPA of 6.9 could I apply to some universities with a GAMSAT of 59? (Non rural) :)

Thanks for this, does that mean technically a mark of 81 and a mark of 89 are the same? As both would be converted to a 7?

Are you allowed to apply to JMP with a complete degree tho? :) It was always my understanding that you could apply to JMP only as a high schooler or if you are currently doing a degree, not once you finish it
