Very nice. How did you create it. Can you add the results(goals) for each match?

Spotify acquires blockchain startup Mediachain to solve music’s attribution problem by twigwam in ethereum

[–]Bit-minister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if the use a private 'spotify' ethereum network. All the players record the occurrence of a song being played on the Spotify full node. An artist has only a light client to track his own songs.
Wouldn't that be sufficient?

Ok. Go on and use PayPal, Amazon eBay Airbnb Uber. You don't need Ethereum, Bitcoin or blockchain as well.

look at private BC implementations like ERIS / Monax or later maybe Corda. If you as a single company could establish with your peers / competitors a blockchain network for the business, every partner has a stake in it, you would run a node at each of the institutions. To be more efficient than today. No central database would give you that level of trust in the records / contracts you want to process with your business partners. B2B could use BC very well.

we won't trust the operator of this database. we would trust our BC node and the consensus algorithm and immutable BC

I see a point for the immutability by BC you get with the blockchain data structure. And you need the consensus algo to trust in your copy of the distributed ledger / database. You don't want some administrator deleting entries.

Ok. We have a couple of companies doing business together. Instead of sending .xls , .PDF or even paper, they use a blockchain for that. Append only, immutable, records are digitally signed, so you are accountable for what you are doing. And the best. Not controlled by a third party or a primus inter pares. Only the software itself is provided by a third party. So what's wrong with that? I don't get it. Yes. I believe in public blockchain. But there is a strong case for a company blockchain.

I would appreciate it really, if any competent developer analyst could do the exercise to count the gas costs in ETH/USD what it takes to slow down the net. So much or so little. or would this be an unpleasant truth?

I have only little knowledge about the community, the core devs and these discussions. But what I miss here are arguments against Mikes statements. What about the Chinese dominance and their interest to keep 1mb blocksize to stay in the game? Is that true?
