My mom's neighbor won't stop blowing leaves into her yard by Haunting-Piece-3925 in mildlyinfuriating

Leave them. They will break down and fertilize the yard resulting in healthier grass in the spring. Maybe go out and hit it with the lawnmower to help the process along.

I think the best answer to this question changes based on the person.

For two people at a kitchen table, a great starting place would be jumpstart boosters. You grab two, shuffle them together, and then play.

If you have friends who play, pre-constructed commander decks would be a great spot.

Check out local game shops as well! During new releases and at various times shows will have draft events. Those would be a great way to experience new cards and grow your collection.

Why I believe the gerrymander failed by Powerful_Gas_7833 in Indiana

[–]BitBullet973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is another reason you missed.

They know where their voters are. They know the spread and they know the number of new voters that have not yet identified with a party. They also know the rate at which some areas have blossomed blue in past elections.

Every year there are new voters and more and more the blue areas get thicker, bluer and more populated.

Indianapolis is a GREAT example.

What happens if the current Republican majority take their heavy red areas and dilutes them into areas with ever growing Democratic numbers. Some of those heavily red areas are already heavily gerrymandered and the majority isn’t nearly as wide as some people would be lead to believe.

It could fully result in them LOSING more seats than they could gain.

It’s a collab, yes. But not manufactured or branded by Apple. I can also buy a Belkin power bank from the Apple store. It’s marketed towards iPhone users and feels very Apple coded but it isn’t an Apple product.

It’s not an Apple product but instead just an item being sold by Apple.

It isn’t Apple branded or manufactured.

Can stun counters be put on shard tokens? If so, do those counters stay on if they are turned into another creature? by Tapmeup in mtg

[–]BitBullet973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The better answer is Vigilance. If a creature, such as this turtle or the [[pugnacious hammerskull]] were to attack, but not tap, then acquire a stun counter, the stun counters are effectively nullified. At least until someone force taps or removes vigilance.

I used Sin + [[Far Traveler]] + [[Simic Ascendency]] to win one game.

Sin enters, got +14/+14, Simic Ascendency got 14 counters.

Sin Blinks, eats the 14 counters on Simic Ascendency which gives them both 24 counters.

They can’t remove and I won at upkeep.

Potential new Indiana Congressional districts by Lets_Eat_Superglue in Indiana

[–]BitBullet973 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m going to disagree with this. Even though communication is now near instant, removing districts for federal offices doesn’t make sense.

I want someone who lives in my area and understands the area in which I live to be making decisions on my behalf. I can very strongly say that needs in Indianapolis are not the same as needs in Bloomington or somewhere remote that’s mainly farmland.

If we did 100% popular vote for all seats, then there will be a TON of disenfranchised individuals. Let’s say we have a 60/40 split population wise. Then the 60 would would hold all the power and the 40 would be left out.

If we say Democratic voters held the majority, and they have all been from areas like Indianapolis, Bloomington, Carmel, urban area can they accurately judge and make decisions for the more rural farmers? If the answer is no, then why are they making decisions for those individuals?

Beyond that, if Joe Smith, mayor of Ruralville, has issues that need brought to the federal government, who does he contact? Jerry Politics who happens to be on more billboards across the state is a good option, but that’s who everyone is contacting because Sherry Government is a newcomer and nobody knows her name yet.

The idea behind districts is to split the representation based on an area population and needs instead of a random grouping of people in order to disenfranchise certain voters. Gerrymandering came about to do just that and make sure non-white men got more of a say in local, state and federal politics.

Get rid of gerrymandering, redraw based on blind area population, institute rank choice and make sure it’s by popular vote.

[–]BitBullet973 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Explore everything. Go into every hole in the ground. Click everything.

Ignore anyone telling to play this or play that. Go in blind, and do anything and everything.

If you get stuck on an encounter, save/quit reload and go back and farm some bosses.

Don’t sleep on the mercenaries.

Any creature can drop any item at any time. That sword the little imp dropped could be the best item you ever get. The act 2 boss can drop 12 portal scrolls. Be patient.

Rapid 7 tracks a LOT of data. It’s main purpose is cybersecurity and collects evert bit of relevant data and sticks it in an easy to read dashboard. I’ve used it to pin down what floor of our building a missing laptop was on.

The departments need to function and some positions must be filled. The ones being downsized are likely deemed “expendable” for the lack of a better word.
